Jerry keeps bringing in retread ex head coaches to be DC. So you don't have any of the energy and ambition that you have with the offensive coaches. The Offensive coaches are hungry. The DCs are stuck in their ways.
But, given all that.. It doesn't take talent to be where you're supposed to be and to not line up offside. For the past 3 years people have pointed out over and over again that the Cowboys are not in their gaps, they don't set the edge, and they don't cover their spots.
