I'm unsure what breed of humans that you interact with? But I would suggest that you end all communication with them.
Under no scenario or situation in life have I ever, heard of any individual credit injured players on the bench for winning a championship versus the players who actually played.

This is false. People always loved their teammates. If Clark, Mcdonald and Sophie were available, they would win the tile running away.
