I understand your point, but the identity of the messenger matters; during Biden's campaign, we lost the union vote when Kamala stepped in. There are individuals who simply won't cast their votes for a woman, particularly a black woman, which cost us some votes. They exaggerated issues surrounding transgender rights and constructed false narratives about trans men using women’s bathrooms and locker rooms. The Republicans dominate all areas of Washington, yet they never attempt to introduce a comprehensive immigration bill, even one of their own extreme proposals; why is that? Because they anticipate running on this issue again, claiming that Democrats want to reopen the borders and reinstate those who have left, backed by court proceedings. We need to think like our opponents, as that's what I would do. Before the midterms, I would introduce a significant bill aimed at stripping rights from transgender and gay individuals, forcing you to vote against it. This is chess, not checkers.

You are still trying to appease and the republicans ain't trying to appease shit. They figured out what we haven't that all of our placating and appeasing just turns off our base. There are more democrats than republicans by a lot in America. The only way they win is if their base is more excited than our base.
