Official 2025 NFL Discussion!!!

2 MVPs and the offensive player of the yr and rookie of the year that yr.. than you got baker mayfield and Sam darnold who had a great yr last yr
I think Baker and Sam are ass…well Sam anyway I think Baker might finally be hitting his potential.

I was more so talking about the Sony Michels, Josh Rosens…

Defensive players were goated that year.

I need to simmer expectations though I just go back to 2011 and that shit for future hall of famers all over that draft….shit some of them still in the league and it’s 2025 lol.

Tyron just retired but Cam Hayward and Cam Jordan still playing. Crazy…..

I agree. My thing on Cam is I don’t like how we revise history. Cam at his peak was one of them ones. He was literally carrying a whole football team. One person. Not a 12 man basketball team…a team with 53 players on it. To a Super Bowl.

His peak or prime wasn’t long. But he went to a bad team that was so bad it still hasn’t recovered.

Hurts will have a longer career and the luxury if having a good and proactive GM. Cam didn’t get that luxury. So when comparing team accolades and accomplishments to Cam? It’s silly.

Peak Cam was as high as any NFL player in history, but sports is about longevity and the totality of one's career. Cam got betrayed by the NFL for allowing so many punishing hit on his head and body without flags when all other QBs were protected like ballerinas. Damn homie stay your ass in the pocket and learn how to go through your progressions. Master the pass to the flat to your running back. Or run your big ass out of bounds when you happen to be faster than everyone on the field.

Cam never adjusted and failed to improve his accuracy. For example in comparison to a few run first Black QBs; Vick changed and improved over time, Randall Cunningham adjusted and improved over time.

Drew Brees is white , but he fucked up his shoulder and changed his entire game.

Cam was worth paying to see, and has to be in the conversation as one the best college talents EVER, but in the pros, for Qb's, championships and how you play in big games matters.

He failed in big games, and once he hit that peak that was it. The league rules failed him, his coaches failed him, and he failed himself. It's okay, shit almost every football player would kill just to have his Auburn career. If Alabama wasn't such a racist State, he should be a king in Auburn. He should be Senator or Governor , not Tommy Tubberville.

His kids should get to attend for free, forever. Think bigger than arguing over career comparisons. Shut your ass up, run a covert op as shadow republican, run for Senate. Flip and become the most pro Black representative in Alabama history.

I know I've posted this before (in this thread probably) but Greg Cosell was the only one I ever listened to when it came to Cam critiques. He always said that Cam was purely an arm thrower (meaning his throws were primarily done with just his arm and that his mechanics needed fixing) and that is fine as long you have know issues with your arm. When Kevin Benjamin's punk ass stopped on a route and Cam threw pick and ran the guy down but injured his shoulder, he had to get surgery to get it taken care of. They bring in Norv Turner who fixes his mechanics and he starts to get throw the ball better and becomes more accurate and is in the early conversation for an MVP with the panthers at 6-2. Dude goes to pittsburgh and TJ watt blows his shoulder up again and thats the end of that.

Did they count that as a TD? The receiver clearly touched him.

Yep. Told this generation to bandwagon hop.
Packers haven’t won a chip in like 16 yrs.. nobody picked them to win the superbowl this yr.. he was loyal to a player that got bad mouthed by the owner..he chose the player over the evil empire.. the team wasn’t loyal to the player or to him as a fan so he took his talents to greenbay.. switch caps instead of staying and feeling agony.. he made a biz descision like the owner did.. respect the consumer/fan not the biz
