Trump is having museums remove information about Slavery. Hey coons where you at with the both sides shit? You fucking scum

Educate your own children.
Teach them OUR history. Take them to historic places or have them look up those locations.
Buy them a bookshelf and fill it with books about US.

Although the Smithsonian is a great resource, there are plenty of avenues to get the information. Fuck Trump!

I agree.. hell pass down family history stories! That's real history that is personal to you and your family!! The shit I found out in the last 5 years,

not from family but from research..shitted u don't want the skools teaching them kids shit..most are lies.. Salvador Fernandez Zarco... took me a while to know who that was!!

Bullshit.

When you pass down knowledge through generations, document it, instill it into the young people's minds...a museum ain't shit.
I listened to what my elders told me. I read books that told the true history however ugly it was.

The Smithsonian doesn't tell the whole unfiltered stories. Our elders and ancestors did. What they are doing is white washing. That Orange bitch won't be around forever.

These are my thoughts. IMO it is our responsibility to educate our children about our history. The history these CACs taught us and currently teach our kids is not empowering and supports white supremacy. Notice that the least covered aspects of our history are the truly empowering parts. The history that they teach us highlight our suffering and endurance of suffering at the hands of white folks. Slavery was the most horrific part of American history and should be documented and taught, but it is overly weighted in Black and African history. The history of Slavery taught to us does not highlight the empowering parts where we truly challenged white supremacy. The history they teach us is focused on Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglas but Nat Turner is barely mentioned. The Haitian Revolution is a very significant and empowering part of slavery but most schools dont even mention it. As far as Civil Rights History in America, Black folks did all of the fighting. None of these Latinos, Asians, or Indians can name one significant civil rights activist of their race. Black folks did the mass majority of fighting for the civil rights that all Americans enjoy today. That dynamic isn't really focused on in the history they teach us. I teach my kids our history and put them in groups and programs that teach our true history.

Agreed!!
Btw not all of us were enslaved and most that were u can consider them p.o.w's ..and it was more black slave masters before there were any so called whites owning anything or anybody..and as far as civil rights..they could have kept that shit!! In my parents opinion it taught us how not to be as one..meaning we had our own coffee houses but now we can go to so called white places...just my share..

Native Americans have done it for centuries. It worked then, until the unfortunate invasion from Europe.

What is unrealistic about passing down one's history?

You know black people couldnt vote until 1965 right? You know cops, firemen, hate groups and just your regular white citizen could outright beat you up and kill you and damn near not get arrested b4 civil rights , right.. you literally would be a sitting duck right now for any bored racist cac who wanted to unleash violence.. you pretty much wouldn’t be able to defend yourself or have a gun to use in defense.. I think some of ya really don’t know how good ya got it compared to 75 yrs ago.. to try to shit on civil rights is fucking crazy

As far as coffee last time I checked you could make that shit in your home..so you don’t have to go to a white mans coffee house

Trump and his supporters are trying hard to dissociate themselves from the truth and limit access to it in public places, institutions, schools and the like because it is uncomfortable and flies in the face of what they and their ancestors have portrayed themselves to be for centuries.

A sports analogy would be Tiger Woods who with the death of his father and recently his mother evidently now feels free to disassociate himself from that part of himself that is biracial. Not surprising, there are others who have done the same, like sports commentator Mike Tirico who even went a step further by declaring himself not black at all despite the fact that his biological father is African American. Tiger, like anyone, is entitled to do as he pleases but voluntarily x'ing out that part of himself that is non-white is about as dishonest, disrespectful and loathsome an act to the memory of his parents that he could ever commit.

In the same vein Trump and his cronies are attempting to x-out that part of American history they find uncomfortable, but one thing's for sure, Tiger try as he might will forever be seen by others as being black and recitation of the story of slavery and other historical American travesties committed against black people and other minorities will continue be told, received as passed on despite the best efforts of white racists to prevent it. :hmm:

Yes, what you're saying is bullshit and not realistic

That why i say your family needs to teach you history not these books! Voting i can say i remember pops or moms mentioning that...bruh history aint what u think..
