Damn bro.. another one.. Hulk Hogan dead at 71

Most of us, when we were kids, looked up to Hulk Hogan as a real American hero. When you heard that song Real American and saw him running to the ring, a feeling of joy overcame us as children. But now, most people in our age group would not admit that the conditioning they received at such a young age has had a lasting impact.
“conditioning” that is an interesting take, never looked at it like that but i dig what you saying

I recall Joe Madison frequently discussing how people are culturally conditioned. I’m able, to this day, to recite the Pledge of Allegiance because it was drilled into us almost every day for 12 years. How many children today, from age 5 to 17, can recite the Pledge of Allegiance?

You’re seven or eight years old in 1984, and this video pops up on your TV screen. The images you see at that young of an age can have a lifetime impact on you. As you reach adulthood, you realize it was all bullshit, but deep down in your subconscious, those images and that song are still there.

When "Hulkamania started running wild, I was entering my 20s, so I had a different perspective. Prowrestling had become comedy to me. The WWWF was hilarious. I also watched the NWA on Sunday mornings to see what the Four Horsemen, Ric Flair, and Dusty Rhodes were up to. It was funny, but somehow more serious. However, I was in on the joke like a lot of other people, so when that tape dropped of Hogan being himself. Being so very comfortable in the afterglow of adulterous sex with his racism, it was a bit of a shock. There was no wiggle room, no context to haggle over. After a man has drained his nuts, he is at his most relaxed and honest point (unless he's cheating), just as long as you don't ask him if he loves you. Other than that, ladies, you got a good 10-15 minutes of pure truth heading your way. With that in mind, Hogan has been dead to me for years. His body finally caught up to him.

Man you meed to expound on this or post a link/clip of you have it.
I'm friends with him on FB, and he was telling one story about about that Andre "the Giant"/Bad News Brown incident on a tour bus, and how Dusty Rhodes swiped Thunderbolt Patterson's style, saying"y'all don't need a nigga, I'll be the nigga enough for ya". I had COMPLETELY for about Thunderbolt Patterson....

I was never a Hogan fan I knew as a kid he was full of shit so I always rooted for the bad guys. I wanted Piper to fuck him up,Piper always had a problem with Hogan and would NEVER lose to him even when Hogan was champion. I wanted Andre to beat him and especially Macho. He always came across fake and phony and it was no surprise to me when all the racist shit hit the fan. I actually met and talked to Hogan right after he jumped to WCW at a cable convention in Tampa. He was respectful and took time to talk to all the cable people and took pictures and signed autographs. As soon as the cameras started rolling he went into Hulkster mode and it was cool to see up close. I was more into Hollywood Hogan than Hulk Hogan cause that character was closer to Terry. I have been a wrestling fan since I was a kid so I respect and appreciate Hulk Hogan and its a sincere RIP to Hogan but motherfuck Terry Bollea and may his memory be forever soiled with shit cause that what Bollea was.

So you liked Shawn Michaels over Bret Hart? We must fight now....lol. Kidding, i've come around HBK and appreciate him turning his life around.
Team Shawn Michaels all the way.. he became my fave wrestler once he threw Marty Janety face through the glass.. my fave transformer was starscream.. so whenever some person does some backstabbing shit I tend to like them or call it the starscream effect. Arrogant piece of shit but could back it up hbk.. in the 90s I would automatically pick him in a wrestling game

How black people look saying RIP to Hulk Hogan..

I was more of an Owen Hart fan honestly. When he died, that took a little bit of my innocence.

I'm actually glad I wasn't a big fan of Brett at the time considering the way Vince screwed him over. I probably would've stopped watching WWF at that time lol.

I will say this about this guini. He had over 300 surgeries. The fk he die of heart attack that is easy to find out. Unless he did some coke or stuff. Looking at the Pic posted here yeah he had to k kw something was up. I experienced my self. Oh well.

Just waiting on Jesse Ventura

I don't mean to correct you brother but it's been confirmed that Marty Janety did actually jump through that barbershop window to escape Shawn Michaels and wasn't thrown through.
