Ironheart lands its lead writer. I'm ready to see this one.

whiteboys can't wait to trash this movie
I have a big problem with these types of movies, because why have black characters emulating white characters instead of making and developing black characters who are heroes on their own, not some clone or rip-off?
For example, why not make a Storm movie, a Brother Voodoo, or Blue Marvel?
It almost seems like they intend to gaslight white boys rather than making a cool black superhero that everybody including whites would like, this is why the original Black Panther worked and Sam Wilson's Captain America didn't.

Fuckin crakkkas can't help themselves

:smh:

They tried to trash Black Panther. If we support they can say what they want. Right now Black Panther is the highest rated Marvel movie and them mf's are crickets. Ryan Coogler alone will draw a nice following.
It's amazing to me that the studios don't realize this. Look at sinners..we got people on here seeing 4 and 5 times. We will support good black movies especially with the federal government trying to erase our history.

2 Years Later, Marvel Studios Just Released New Episode of Series Fans Thought Was Over

The series went dark after a 21-episode second season covered Phase Five … until last week. After two years of nothing, Marvel Studios: Legends just released a new episode profiling Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne).

^^^^^^

@blackbull1970

I'm nervous.

Not WORRIED just nervous

All the girls I know are very very excited for this.

The InCells will have multiple orgasms with this series, especially with it being led by a Black Woman.

Disney has proven they can make a good decent series with a female lead with “Wandavision” and “Agatha All Along”.

Ms. Marvel was ok, but it was a series mainly geared towards young girls under 18.

I expect this to be a decent series. It’s bringing in Wakanda and Prince Namor, so good chance their appearances will amplify it and introduce some surprises in upcoming films.

We are getting closer to “Avengers: Doomsday”, which means Robert Downey Jr. will be making some surprise cameos in upcoming projects before the film debuts.

Lookin forward to it.

Agree with all that 10000000% except one thing...

*soapbox activated *

I believe Ms Marvel is one the best series Disney ever developed period

It was excellent

I'm shocked people are trying to downplay it now.

You on fire with all your points though.

I think the merging of tech and magic is a good way to advance the MCU.

I hope they can pull it off

If you notice, Coogler has been leaning more and more into the Black experience in amerikkka; both good and bad.

One thing yt hates with a burning passion is having a mirror held up to their racist and criminal history and present. So the reactions are, sadly, predictable.

yt won't understand this show. They have no idea how it is to live black in this fucked up racist country.

All that said, I thought it was pretty good. Some of the acting was a bit wanting but once you understand RC is giving it to you from Riri's BLACK perspective and fuck all the goodtime Avenger ytness, it flies.

Post of the year nomination

I watched the first 3 episodes and I found Dominique Thorne unlikable in the role of Riri… her friend/AI would have been a better Iron Heart.

She's a bit too hood for someone who is a genius
To be honest, I didn't really like ol' girl who played Ironheart, in the Black Panther 2 movie
Some of her jokes & "wit" was cool
But most of the time, I felt like she was overacting a little too much
And she kind of threw off the whole vibe of some parts of the movie :dunno:

Yeah and maybe "overacting" was a little too strong of a word :dunno:
But I just felt like with the passing of Chadwick Boseman
That her character was throwing me off a bit
Sometimes the jokes & one liners were funny
But other times, it just felt out of place for the tone & vibe...of THAT particular movie :dunno:

Just watched all 3 episodes and surprisingly, first two episodes, don't really connect with Dominique in the role. I think it was a few things though, I think the jokes in the first two episodes fell flat and were on the side of corny for me. Like tryina be black corny. And some of her expressions threw me off. Episode 3 was better across the board. Lyric playing Nat? Killing it, she's my favorite character of the series so far. Every time she's on screen it's engaging. I must say that during the 2nd episode I found myself saying they really should've got someone else for the role of RiRi, but at the same time I'm rooting for Dom as a young black actress attaining new heights in her career. I hope she continues to grow and is able to deliver a stellar performance overtime.

Series as a whole is entertaining enough, so far a 7/10 for me.

So she is publicly knows as Ironheart?

Walking around the neighborhood with a giant robot and robbing people with a ironman suit and nobody is putting 1 & 2 together...

I like the Ironman 1 connection...
