The event in the Gaza Strip:
- An armored personnel carrier belonging to the Engineering Corps was ambushed and caught fire.
- A rescue force fell into an additional ambush.
- 3 soldiers were confirmed killed at the scene.
- There are still missing soldiers in the area, and there are serious concerns for their lives.
- Between 14 and 16 people were injured in the serious accident.
- The Air Force assisted in the rescue operations, in addition to the participation of a fire engine.
Palestinians have a right to armed resistance, and APCs are considered legitimate targets under international law.
- UNGA Resolution 3314 (1974) affirmed the right of self-determination, freedom, and independence for all “peoples under colonial and racist regimes or other forms of alien domination,” and affirmed the “right of these peoples to struggle to that end and to seek and receive support.”[1]
- UNGA Resolution 37/43 (1982) reaffirmed the “inalienable right” of the Palestinian people “and all peoples under foreign and colonial domination” to self-determination. It also reaffirmed the legitimacy of “the struggle of peoples for […] liberation from colonial and foreign domination and foreign occupation by all available means, including armed struggle.”[2]

Gaza Strip hospitals received 79 martyrs, including 5 retrieved martyrs, and 391 injuries during the past 24 hours.
A number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, with ambulance and civil defense teams unable to reach them.
The toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 56,156 martyrs and 132,239 injuries since October 7, 2023.
The toll of martyrs and injuries since March 18, 2025 has reached 5,833 martyrs and 20,198 injuries.
The toll of aid martyrs who reached hospitals during the past 24 hours was 33 martyrs and more than 267 injuries, raising the total number of livelihood martyrs who reached hospitals to 549 martyrs and more than 4,066 injuries.
