Tensions escalate between Trump and Netanyahu as the former president moves forward with Middle East plans—excluding Israel—amid the ongoing Israeli blockade on Gaza.

Tensions between former US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appear to be escalating, according to the Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom.

Citing sources with sources close to Trump, the report revealed that Trump “is disappointed” with Netanyahu.

“Relations between Prime Minister Netanyahu and the US president have reached a low point with mutual disappointment on both sides,” according to the report.

While previous reports highlighted Netanyahu’s own discontent with Trump, sources now say the feeling is mutual.

Two senior figures within Trump’s inner circle reportedly told Israel Hayom that Trump “has decided to stop waiting for Israel and instead move forward with Middle East initiatives without Netanyahu.”

Trump reportedly believes Netanyahu is dragging his feet on critical decisions, and that “he president wishes to make decisions he believes will advance American interests, particularly regarding Saudi Arabia and Gulf states.”

Saudi Arabia has repeatedly made it clear that any agreement on normalization with Israel must include an end to the genocidal war in Gaza and a formal Israeli commitment to a future Palestinian state.

Adding to the rift, Trump is said to be “furious” over what he perceives as an Israeli attempt to pressure his former National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, into supporting military action against Iran.

Although Netanyahu has downplayed these reports, claiming only a single conversation with Waltz, Trump “remained unconvinced.”

According to Israel Hayom, the breakdown in relations may explain why Israel was excluded from recent US moves in the region—including the ceasefire announcement with Ansarallah in Yemen.

Even after Trump made the ceasefire public, “Israeli representatives handling relations with the US were unable to obtain information from White House officials about developments for a full 24 hours,” the report noted.

Trump has also excluded Israel from his upcoming regional tour, with no visit to the country currently on the schedule.

On Wednesday evening, Trump also said that “there’s a lot of talk going on about Gaza right now, so you’ll be knowing probably in the next 24 hours.”

The comments were made to reporters in the Oval Office and apparently confirmed a previous note by the State Department, stating that there would like be an announcement related to the resumption of aid into Gaza.

At least 57 Palestinians in Gaza have died from starvation as Israel’s ongoing blockade—now entering its third month—continues to cut off food, water, and essential aid, while bombardment persists across the enclave.

Gaza has been under a complete Israeli blockade since March 2. Meanwhile, hundreds of trucks loaded with vital supplies remain stuck at the border with Egypt, with the queue stretching as far south as the city of Arish—about 45 kilometers (28 miles) from the Rafah crossing.

Moreover, the aid blockade has also severely undermined healthcare in Gaza.

Sources close to US President Donald Trump report that he is disappointed with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Relations between Prime Minister Netanyahu and the US president have reached a low point with mutual disappointment on both sides. Sources in the president's inner circle report that he has grown increasingly frustrated with the Israeli prime minister.

Earlier this week, we reported that Netanyahu was frustrated with Trump. Now it appears the American president has also lost patience with his Israeli counterpart. Two senior figures in Trump's circle stated in recent closed-door conversations, whose contents reached Israel Hayom, that Trump has decided to stop waiting for Israel and instead move forward with Middle East initiatives without Netanyahu.

The sources explained that the president wishes to make decisions he believes will advance American interests, particularly regarding Saudi Arabia and Gulf states. Israel was supposed to participate in some of these steps, referring primarily to normalization with Saudi Arabia. However, according to Trump's perspective, Netanyahu is delaying making the necessary decisions. Given this situation, the president refuses to wait until Israel takes its expected actions and is proceeding without Israeli participation.

It should be noted that as part of normalization with Israel, Saudi Arabia expects an end to the war in Gaza and an Israeli declaration about a "horizon for a Palestinian state," or similar terminology. Minister Ron Dermer, who manages this issue, has spent numerous hours crafting language related to Israel's willingness to establish a "Palestinian state" in the future, given public opposition to the concept and the political sensitivity of the term in Israel.

Furthermore, Trump is furious about what he views as an attempt by Netanyahu and his team to pressure National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, who has since been dismissed from his position, toward military action in Iran. Netanyahu claimed in response to the publication of this matter in The Washington Post that he spoke with Waltz only once. However, Trump remained unconvinced.

The president's anger likely explains Israel's exclusion from both the announcement regarding the ceasefire with the Houthis and Israel's inclusion in the agreement. It's worth noting that even after Trump announced the agreement with the Houthis, Israeli representatives handling relations with the US were unable to obtain information from White House officials about developments for a full 24 hours. Beyond Israel's exclusion, Trump is not currently scheduled to visit Israel during his regional trip next week.

The disconnect between Trump and Netanyahu appears to be the backdrop for statements by the prime minister and Defense Minister Israel Katz over the past day, suggesting they are preparing for a scenario where Israel stands alone. When asked by his spokesman, "Can Israel fight alone against the Houthi threat?" Netanyahu responded that "the rule I have established is that Israel will defend itself by its own forces." On Thursday morning, Defense Minister Katz stated that "Israel must be able to defend itself by its own forces against any threat and any enemy. This was true facing many challenges in the past, and will also be true in the future."

US President Donald Trump is considering announcing a comprehensive plan for the Gaza Strip by the end of the week, Israeli media reported on Thursday.

According to American and Israeli officials and Arab diplomatic sources cited by the Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom, the proposal would aim to end Israel's 18-month war on the Gaza Strip, and would include new political and security arrangements in the territory.

American officials said the plan is being developed with direct White House backing and partial cooperation from Israel, though it does not fulfil all of the Israeli government’s demands.

If finalised, it is expected to be presented to Israel as a fait accompli, placing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a difficult position that could trigger political turmoil within his far-right governing coalition.

The proposal may include granting Hamas leaders reassurances that they would not be assassinated and ensuring their participation in a civilian governance framework for Gaza.

US officials told the paper the administration is taking the plan seriously, amid military deadlock and growing international criticism over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

In a related development, Axios reported that Trump met privately on Thursday with Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer at the White House to discuss Gaza and nuclear talks with Iran. The meeting was not announced by either government.

The US news outlet also reported that Dermer met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday and held multiple meetings in Washington, including with Trump.

Trump 'angry' with Netanyahu

No official comment has been issued by the White House, but there are reports that Trump is angry with Israel's "arrogant" and "manipulative" approach to its US ally and has cut off contact with Netanyahu.

Israeli Army Radio quoted a senior unnamed Israeli official saying: "It didn’t help that Dermer spoke with senior Republican officials in his usual arrogant manner about what Trump should do.

"People close to Trump told him that Netanyahu is manipulating him, and there’s nothing Trump hates more than being seen as naïve—or worse, as someone being manipulated. So he decided to cut off contact. This may change later, but that’s the current situation."

Israel Hayom also reported that Israeli officials believe Trump cannot move forward with a civilian nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia unless it satisfies Israeli interests. One official said Trump currently lacks the Senate majority to pass such a deal without Israeli alignment.

Separately, Reuters quoted sources as saying the US has dropped its earlier demand for Saudi-Israeli normalisation as a prerequisite to nuclear cooperation with Riyadh.

Israeli Army Radio reported Israeli political sources saying, "They [the US] want results... Trump has a year to show them. He doesn’t have time to wait."

Meanwhile, Hamas's armed wing launched an attack on Israeli forces in Rafah, killing two soldiers. In a statement, the Qassam Brigades said that it targeted a number of Israeli forces in Rafah amid "fierce clashes" in the southern Gaza city.

Israeli media further reported that the soldiers belonged to the Golani Brigade and were killed when an anti-tank missile struck the soldiers as they were about to storm a building in the Al-Janina neighbourhood of Rafah.

A senior US official has warned that the Tel Aviv government would pay a very heavy price if it does not agree to a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal in Gaza, according to the Israeli media.

The Jerusalem Post reported Wednesday that a meeting was held between US officials and the families of Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

During the meeting, the senior US official, whose name was not disclosed, criticised Israel’s stance in the negotiations to renew a ceasefire and hostage deal, stating that the US would reach a regional agreement with Saudi Arabia even without Israel’s involvement.

The official said the hostages in Gaza have already paid the price for the failure to end the war, adding: "If until now they paid the price of not ending the war, today the price will be much heavier for Israel — and not just for the hostages."

The unnamed US official emphasised that the truce agreement with the Houthis in Yemen was only a starting point, and warned: "If Israel doesn’t come to its senses, even the ‘Deal of the Millennium’ will happen without it."

It was reported that the relatives of the Israeli hostages present at the meeting interpreted the official’s remarks "as a shift in tone from an ally traditionally seen as backing Israel unconditionally."

Trump cuts ties with Netanyahu over manipulation concerns: Report

JERUSALEM/ISTANBUL
US President Donald Trump has decided to cut off direct contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a report said Thursday.
Yanir Cozin, a correspondent for Israeli Army Radio, said in a post on his X account that Trump made the decision after close associates told Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer that the president believes that Netanyahu is manipulating him.
An Israeli official added that Dermer’s tone during recent discussions with senior Republican figures about what Trump should do was seen as arrogant and unhelpful.
The official said that people around Trump told him that "Netanyahu was manipulating him."
"There is nothing Trump hates more than being portrayed as a fool or someone being played. That’s why he decided to cut contact with Netanyahu," the official added.
Cozin pointed to the Israeli government’s failure to present a concrete plan and timeline regarding Iran and Yemen’s Houthis as a source of the worsening US-Israel relationship.
The Army Radio correspondent also highlighted that the Netanyahu government has failed to offer a concrete proposal on Gaza.

Israeli media reported on Friday that US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth has cancelled a visit to Israel scheduled for next week.

A source stated that the reason for the cancellation was that Hegseth decided to join Trump on his visit to the region early next week.

The US Secretary of Defence was scheduled to make his first visit to Israel since taking office, ahead of President Donald Trump’s upcoming tour of the region, according to Axios.

Israeli Army Radio reported on Friday that sources close to US President Donald Trump informed Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer that the US president had decided to cut off contact with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The radio explained that Trump’s people told Dermer that Netanyahu was manipulating the US president, stressing that “There is nothing Trump hates more than being portrayed as a fool or someone being played. That’s why he decided to cut contact with Netanyahu.”

That's major. Israel is in deeper shit if this holds up. I would not be surprised if the Israeli lobby here starts throwing major bread trying to make moves here in America. Also would not be shocked if Israel runs to russia.

Trump has a history of TRUMPING business partners, domestically and globally. I had a sneaking suspicion Bibi would be abandoned, especially considering Israel doesn't invest in the Trump Family syndicate like Saudi Arabia does.

Some thought Bibi would be an exception based on tradition, which is a foreign concept to the 34-Count Felon. :roflmao3:

No support there. Remember, Russia kicked out its Jews, aka the Bolsheviks.
It would never happen.

Yep, Iran and Russia have deeper ties and common written agreements for mutual interests. Israel doesn't have a leg to stand on concerning Russia.

JerusalemCNN —
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to “defend ourselves alone” against Yemen’s Houthi rebels after US President Donald Trump struck a deal with the Iran-backed group.

The US deal, announced just hours after the Israeli military carried out major strikes against Yemen’s international airport and other facilities in response to a Houthi attack on Israel’s main airport, was a surprise to Israel, which was not informed in advance about the truce, an Israeli official told CNN earlier.

According to Trump, the US would halt an ongoing military campaign against the Houthis in exchange for the group stopping its attacks on US interests in the region.

The Houthis acknowledged the agreement but made it clear their attacks on Israel would continue. Senior Houthi leader Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said after the announcement that the agreement was “a victory that separates US support for the temporary entity (Israel) and a failure for Netanyahu.”

On Wednesday, Netanyahu said, “Israel will defend itself by itself.” In the past, Israel has carried out joint strikes with the US against the Houthis, but two consecutive days of Israeli attacks on Yemen earlier this week were done alone. “If others join us—our American friends—all the better. If they don’t, we will still defend ourselves on our own,” he said in a video posted on social media.

Trump referred to the deal as capitulation from the Houthis on Tuesday but on Wednesday he said they had a “good outcome with the Houthis,” adding they had a “great capacity to withstand punishment” from repeated US strikes.

“You could say there’s a lot of bravery there,” Trump said at a swearing-in of his ambassador to China at the White House. “It was amazing what they took.”

He added that the US would “honor their (Houthis’) commitment” not to attack US warships or commercial vessels in the region.

Trump ‘thinks about America’s interests’

The US-Houthi truce sidelined the Israeli government, according to former US Middle East envoy Dennis Ross.

He noted that Netanyahu was left in the dark when the US began talks with Hamas in March and only found out about US nuclear talks with Iran when Trump made the announcement seated next to the prime minister in the Oval Office last month. The US-Houthi ceasefire is one more instance where Israel’s concerns were a tertiary consideration for the White House, if at all, he said.

Whether Houthi ballistic missile launches against Israel continue remains to be seen, but Ross told CNN that Israel does not appear to have been a major factor in the White House’s thought process.

“The Trump Administration thinks about America’s interests,” said Ross.

There has been no public criticism of the White House decision from Israeli officials. Netanyahu, who once openly criticized the Biden administration’s requests and policies, is one of Trump’s most vocal international supporters. Other members of the government have reserved their judgement as well, instead focusing on Israel’s resolve against the Houthis.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement on Thursday that “Israel must be able to defend itself by itself against any threat and any enemy. This has been true in the face of many past challenges, and it will remain true in the future.”

Trump designated the Houthi group as a Foreign Terrorist Organization in the final days of his first term as president. President Joe Biden revoked that designation early in his presidency in 2021, and Trump designated it again in January.

If this is true but only saying it then other Arab nations join the Abraham Accords, would be fucked up.

Will that stop Israeli aggression nope then more nations will be friendly with Israel

Because having a Palestinians state been a big issues

“Around 100,000 people have died in Gaza since the fall of 2023, according to The Economist magazine.

The researchers concluded that 46–107% more people died than officially reported – between 77,000 and 109,000 Gazans, which is 4–5% of the territory’s pre-war population.

Let us recall that Israel recently resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip, having failed to reach an agreement with Hamas on ending the war.”

A global shift is playing out in real time. Happens every century, historically. Currently, Israel is being shown more than their being told.
