Official 2025 NFL Off Season Discussion!!!

People keep saying there are 5 QBs in the room....

At the very least Pickett is GONE!!

Watson will either renegotiate his contract again, get traded/given away or be paid well to sit at home..... I highly doubt Watson will be on the roster week 1
PUP list/ IR for the season....Insurance on his contract for this season and cap relief for the season after.

You’ve said that in the Colorado thread a few times. I felt he was reckless with the sacks, but the big plays, the comeback wins, accuracy and success says a lot. He doesn’t have a 3rd round arm.

I watched every Colorado game the past two years. Here’s the truth:

Coach Prime built the whole program around making Shedeur look good. That was priority #1 — stack the WR room, throw the ball every down, pad the stats.

Shedeur is accurate, but he protected his numbers by refusing to throw the ball away. Instead, he’d run backwards 20+ yards, take a sack, and kill drives — and Prime would blame the O-line every time. That’s why his stat line looks clean but doesn’t tell the real story.

Colorado had a top 5 WR group both years, and those guys made unreal catches every week. Shedeur made some good throws, but he was bailed out a LOT.

And no, the NFL isn’t “mad” at Shedeur for being confident. That’s BS. NFL teams love cocky players — if you can play. Shedeur’s real issues are he’s slow, soft under pressure, lacks leadership, and has never played without his dad as head coach since pee wee.

Notice how Tom Brady and Colorado’s old OC haven’t said a word about him? Only Prime’s employees have hyped him up.

I’m calling it now: Shedeur doesn’t even beat out Dillon Gabriel for the backup spot.

Yes, a few times I’ve said in the CO thread that not only does Shadeur hold on to the ball too long but his pocket presence isn’t the best. His “third eye” to feel pressure behind him isn’t the best.

Now in regards to having a stacked group of receivers, you need good players to move the ball. However, I’ve seen him slice teams up without his top guys a few times. Moreover, as you acknowledged, he’s accurate, he can hit those boys in stride and let his speedsters rack up the yac.

Cleveland is loaded with QBs, and Gabriel plays like an NFL QB regarding his quick decisions and timing, however his arm is weaker than Shadeurs. All in all, this is great competition for Shadeur, and he’s never been challenged at his position. We’re about to see if he’s a dawg like that, studying, grinding, trying to get extra reps in because there’s not enough balls to go around to everybody.
