Didn’t really care for it after I watched it
Fuck a story about an upset Duracell Monkey, instead they should make a movie called Satans Child Support, where the creepy baby and a bitch chases the protagonist around for 21 years trying to rob his money, dignity, and soul, plus if they catch him they will throw him in hell where they have demons who will beat the shit out of you up, force you to wash their draws and do lord knows what to you in the hellish shower room. Yup that would be the scariest movie hands down.

I just got finished watching it too. I didn’t think it was on that. I would not recommend unless you’re like drunk or high.
I thought it was cool and entertaining for the most part. Not sure if it had white humor or not, because this group of white teenagers seemed to find it hilarious.

The problem is they keep marketing this directors movies the wrong way.
They did it with longlegs too "The scariest movie ever" . It wasn't scary at all.
They should have marked the monkey as a dark comedy
Wasn’t even really funny.. zero explanation of the origin of the monkey, how it got it powers, how it’s able to do what it does, it’s selection process, how did it land in the original family tree hands.. the story was weak, the pace was garbage, it wasn’t really entertaining, the kills were ok, in the end it was a waste of time.. this was not a movie worth paying for straight to dvd at best or a Netflix film.. I could see somebody wanting to kill somebody if they paid $15 bucks to see this garbage
The origin was the dad was a pilot and he traveled all over the world and he brought it back from one of his trips.
It's based on a Stephen King short story. I'm curious how the movie defers from the original story.

I’m talking about the monkey origin.. the dad got it but how? Why is it so attached to their family tree.. like I said what is the monkey, how did it get its power, how does it select who dies, why does it exist, can it be stopped… none of those were explained.. it’s just there and does what it does and that’s it
like a cool connection could’ve been needful things.. like the devil made a toy to eliminate the human population and he made it as a prank.. he sits back and enjoys watching god creation die.. it’s a quicker way to make the human population decrease and also a quicker way to collect souls.. see anything like that would’ve been like ohhhh that’s crazy the devil played a prank on mankind using a kids toy..in the end we got nothing

Not to many questions a well thought out plan…. Freddy Krueger was a child killer and rapist who were chased down by parents than killed, he study magic and in his death became a supernatural being preying on the kids of the parents and other kids( backstory).. Jason was a special needs kid who drowned cause the counselors were busy engaging in sex than watching the kids, his mom basic became bi polar and killed multiple counselors b4 getting killed, Jason woke up from the dead to avenge his moms, he’s a special needs serial killer( background story).. the monkey a monkey that plays the drum and people die of freak accidents( no background story) see this 1 is not like the others
All those have multiple sequels and are also a different type of movie

Krueger story was explained in first movie… we knew what happened to Jason in the first movie and what his mom did, we even got a glimpse of Jason capabilities in the dream sequence at the end of first movie.. so no sequel excuses..in fact we know how I feel about sequel to Freddy smh almost could’ve killed the franchise with that sorry entry

can't stop, won't stop .....
Monkey had so much potential but fell so flat tryna overly do the humor plus a wack ass story full of huh? And WTFs (in a bad way) ultimately had 8/10 hopes but gave it like a 4/10. It was stupid. And I waited cuz the previews looked fire smh
