I talked to someone over at USAA that told me that their homeowners insurance offerings are varying by state. For example, in California, they are only offering homeowners insurance for officers.

Up until 95 or 96 that's how it was in Virginia. I was a member while stationed in South Carolina. When I moved to Virginia they dropped me . Once they started insuring enlisted in Virginia they gave me continuous credit as a member from when I first signed up.
Thats awesome! You know they have it open for everyone now for the most part, but it sounds like they cut back to only insuring officers in CA. Probably has to do with the fires and floods and everything else thats been going on out there because I know they are a lot of Active duty and vets that still live out there.
