I just looked at a couple of videos on her YouTube channel and she still looks good as hell and didn't appear to be using a filter.
I remember her husband very well. Dre Allen. I used to have a magazine and I reached out to Dawn for an interview. I get a call a few days later from Dawn and she tells me that she is coming to Houston. Cool. She says that we can meet up for dinner and we get everything sorted out. The day comes and I get a call saying that she has arrived. Get to the meet up place and there’s no Dawn. It’s some dude looking like a member of DeBarge. He introduces himself as her husband and says that he and Dawn had a fight on the way there. He gives me this long ass story and none of it makes sense. I got a free meal out of it. A few months later, Dawn contacts me and HER story about what happened doesn’t make sense. I leave it alone. A year later, I am hanging out with a member of En Vogue and she just shakes her head and says “Yep, that’s Dawn for you!”

I actually preferred being homeless, but I always had a job or some other income stream. Unfortunately, many cities have become hostile to people choosing this lifestyle. You are not paying property tax, which is why they want you renting barely making it.

We were on the Kottonmouth Kings tour and Rick, their road manager, used to be Rick James' percussionist, and he told a lot of stories about Rick James cursing Luther out on tour.
