Get your capes on Gents.....Dawn Robinson of En Vogue is homeless and living in her car....

Hopefully some artists come to her rescue and let her sing some hooks or something so she can make some loot.
There's plenty of stages out there that could hire her to sing.

She needs to start with a small crowd first.

But this new generation doesn't know who she is wouldn't want to listen to her unless she perform for mature adults that are in their 30s,40,50,60,70 & 80s because the younger crowd don't want to hear her at all..

Good luck to her..

I used to talk to her on MySpace.... Yes I'm dating myself..

We used to have good conversations. She married some dude that was flamboyant in the industry at the time. She wanted to work with me for her solo album because of my production style and sound. At the time she told me that Lucy Pearl was about to break up.

She was really cool. Like nothing I expected.

To hear this story, is hard to believe.... But I've heard from numerous people that in the studio she's a monster, and completely difficult to work with.

She been a nomad for over a decade.. I remember over a decade ago people had posted the segment with her than husband how they seemed to be struggling and living out of hotels and in their car and how they was gonna try to make a reality show on her comeback.. that was a multiple page thread and got bumped for several yrs.. let me find out bgol actually forgot

Beautiful woman, talented and seems sweet, not understanding why she couldnt make it work for herself?
Attitude can be everything sometimes. A perfect example is Anita Baker. No one can work with her. I used to run into her in the studio years ago. Her Attitude was a MF. Even the last time that I saw her at a jazz spot, we were chopping it up and she told me to watch the news that evening. I did and that was when she was refusing to pay her then husband and was facing being arrested. Anyone that approached and asked for a photo or autograph she bluntly said, "No!"

Mayne, who IS you???

I been trying to figure it out FOR YEARS

A women homeless at 58 is some of the saddest shit to see. :smh:
No it's not because it's true some of us have a second childhood like Nas rapped about because of several reasons and Dawn has had trouble with every group she's been in and some of us just need a whole dish of humble pie.

I believe she's bi-polar and has been doing with it her whole life and it has helped destroy her career because she should be touring with En'vogue and or Lucy Pearl.

Life is forever lifing and it will force you to get it together or have you living on the streets.

The First thing is move to somewhere cheapers,I believe she's from the midwest, second go get a job won't no one really even remember you and if they do sing em a little bit of ya song ,take a picture and ask for a nice tip in return.....you'll be ok because you're alive and not sick

The overall consensus is that she is very difficult to work with. I have actually heard about this for years through various media outlets. Never gave much thought about it, but it seems like there is something to it now. She must be bipolar if someone is that difficult to get along with.
