Resistance 2.0– Are Democrats Capable Of Fighting Back Against Trump?

If they were capable of fighting Trump, we wouldn't be watching him getting sworn in the second time.

Good point.

But I guess I would say that it is easier to resist than to win.

People didn’t take Trump’s policy proposals seriously as a candidate, it’ll be different once he’s actually president.

What will happen is black mammies will support Trump as cover for their devious ops. The Democrats have been exposed for many horrible things they did to the black community such as mass incarceration.

Don't be surprised if you see black entertainers come out and openly embrace him, then come at me.

This is what it was like for me dealing with the Democrats, I outsmarted you. Wasting your time on their feeble schemes. Why can't I just get things process quickly and accurately, why do I have to be tied up for decades? Expect another hostage situation.

It's not trump.

The machine behind trump is powerful and insidious. It's been refining its methods and consolidating power since the dixiecrats. Once they had dumbed down and programmed the population sufficiently a politician was no longer needed - just an actor. Enter raygun. It's gotten worse from there.
trump is something they could've only hoped for in their wildest dreams. He has enabled them to advance their plans for world domination at warp speed.

So, no, to think it's trump is a mistake. He's the talking dog you gape at while the pickpockets move through the crowd and steal everything not nailed down.

The Democratic Party is still stuck on the “They Go Low, We Go High” narrative.

The Party is still listening to paid consultants who have no clue on what the Democratic Electorate wants.

The paid Democratic consultants are still pushing that the Democratic Party needs to display that they are “Nice and Courteous” and that the GOP electorate will swing over and become Democrats.

The Democratic Party has been stuck on this ever since President Johnson signed the Civil Rightz Bill/Voting Rights Acts back in the mid 1960s.

It’s why the Democratic Party embraced President Reagan’s policies hoping the GOP electorate would come back to them.

The only way the Democratic Party can rebound is too go full progressive on the level of the FDR years.

If not, the party will eventually collapse similar to how the Conservatives went from the Whig Party to the GOP.

Which makes no fucking sense at all.

What is he going to do differently this time that he did or didn't do his first 4 years?

It's amazing how people act like this is his first time in office.

Anything Less Than This..... They Won't Exist as a Party After the 28 Election

They start with a progressive idea like defund the police. Then they get a surge of donations from the private prison industry at the end of 2020 and all of a sudden Biden says "we need to give the cops more money."

Then there was "Medicare for all". Then the hospitals and insurance agencies upped their donations so it gets watered down to "Medicare for all who want it."

When AOC, the most radical elected member of the party, gets most of her money from apple, meta, and Kaiser Permanente you can guarantee that the Democrats will never bring about universal health care or bust our gilded age monopolies.

At this point the only real difference between the parties is that Democrats would never platform a blatant nazi. Other than that they're just Republican Lite.

Yep....and I will add, real progressive, not the modern day version of the word

To do what you are saying though would be in direct violation of the wishes of the party's corporate masters and as such, is unlikely

The question is who's the next Democrat vying for this white house? The next republican will be a MAGA inbred and will have Trump's backing. What are the Democrats doing NOW to take on the endless MAGA injection into our lives. If it's Gavin Newsome, he needs to makes his intentions known now.

If it's Gavin Newsome, he needs to makes his intentions known now.
How he deals with the wildfires, the recovery, the fights with the Trump administration over wildfire relief and immigration, will really determine how viable he will be in 2028.

Right now, the GOP/Democrats are just holding out and waiting for the Orange Moron to drop dead….which can happen at anytime being he is 78 years old and is in bad health.

The GOP does not have anyone to grab the “MAGA” torch and ego-maniac Trump has not prepared anyone to take the mantle cuz he only thinks about himself.

The Democrats are waiting for him to drop dead and hoping they can continue on kissing up to the GOP with their usual game plan on doing nothing but keeping the Democratic electorate unmotivated.

Being both parties have insulated themselves in a bubble and have disconnected themselves from what everyday Americans want.

It leaves the door open for “Unforseen Consequences” that the Power Elite is not prepared for.

A revolution will happen, it won’t be bloody like the French Revolution, but there will be some change for the better.

Unfortunately, before it happens, lots of Americans will have to suffer for the change to happen.

Definitely agree that if the country continues on its present path (corporate oligarchy), the conditions will be ripe for some kind of revolution...not sure if it will be for the better though...revolution can take many forms depending on the consciousness of the people...it could potentially end up more repressive

Economic rival?

China has more than three times America's population and everyone's freaking out that they might have a higher GDP than we do.

So what?

I mean Canada's GDP is about 1/10 of the United States. Does that mean they live 1/10 as good? Do we need to start sponsoring Canadian children to make sure they have food and clean water?

At the end of the day what matters most is that all of our people have decent food, clothes, shelter, transportation, education, and medical care. Without that these economic pissing matches don't mean anything.

If voters wanted full progressive, they would vote full progressive in the primaries.Even the most progressive cities didn't want full progressives this past election.

i dont give a fuck bout shit else he do i want to see the action thats bout to go down at the border with the cartel....
gone starting some good cartel movies come out of this.... :hellyea:

Progressives have a hard time understanding this concept. The majority of the country wants things to be in the middle, not extremes either way.

You said most of her money.

Do you not know how to read the information in the link you posted?

I know that Google, Apple and Kaiser Permanente make up almost 2/3 of her top contributors. I also know that when a corporation reaches their donation cap the rest of their money gets funneled through their employees as individual donations.

Either way, you can't fulfill a progressive agenda with corporate money. That would be like Hamas asking Israel for bombs.

Actually over the past 10 years, there have been a large number of progressive referendums out on state ballots that passed in GOP controlled states for things like….

• Expanding Medicaid
• More Public funding for public schools
• Raising minimum wage
• Abortion protection
• Legalization of Marijuana

The state GOP’s refuse to give what the voters voted for.

Eventually, folks are gonna get pissed off.

They don't mean anything to YOU...the ruling classes of the world definitely care about it and as such the life of the common man is affected by it

Problem is corporations don't want progressive agendas because it threatens their bottom line. However, without corporate funding you're not getting elected to anything.

Without that money you'll get 1% to 5% of the vote. If it's a tight race you might get a corporate candidate to endorse a watered down version of your plan, but if not you'll be discarded as a whack job.

Most of her money is not corporate, let alone from just three corporations as you claimed.

You said she “gets most of her money from apple, meta, and Kaiser Permanente.” They account for nowhere near 51%— its closer to 1%.

Participation in primaries is so small it isn’t reflective of the general electorate, let alone the country.

If voters want to elect progressive politicians, they get a chance to every 2 years and those states would no longer be GOP controlled states - even with gerrymandering.

The issue is progressive candidates actually running for office, especially in the Red States.

The Democratic Party refuses to invest money, time or support on any candidates in these GOP controlled areas.

Again, you're not factoring for these corporations funneling their money through individual donors.

Why else would she accept money from entities that fundamentally oppose her platform?
