Deion Sanders offered the Colorado job- Official Colorado season thread

Bowl Eligible.

That's what they needed for better recruiting

Recruiting straight, they need that NIL and Deion giving it out like Texas A&M and Ole Miss  but he don’t operate like that.

Them kids saw last year, the team was in many games. 5+ one score games,

Them kids saw the line giving up sacks and couldn’t stop the run

They saw and new players came thru

But now that depth will get increased

4 games left but for big-12 title they would need help… Kanas St definitely needs an L

They play Iowa State, the last game of the year. I’m not sure how Colorado would jump a one lost Iowa State

Top four teams

BYU 4-0
Iowa State 4-0
Kanas State 3-1
Colorado 3-1
You're right ISU would have to lose 2

BIG 12 FOOTBALL TIEBREAKING PROCEDURES
Two-Team Tie
If two teams are tied for first place both teams will participate in the championship game and the winner of the game between the two teams shall be the #1 seed.
If the two teams tied for the No. 1 position did not play, the two-team tiebreaking procedures shall apply to determine the first-place team   If there is not a tie for first place, but two teams are tied for second place, the two-team tiebreaker policy will apply, and the winner will be the #2 seed.

a. Head-to-head competition among the two tied teams.

b. Win percentage against all common conference opponents among the tied teams.

c. Win percentage against the next highest placed common opponent in the standings (based on the record in all games played within the Conference), proceeding through the standings.  When arriving at another group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team’s win percentage against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to that group’s own tie-breaking procedure) rather than the performance against individual tied teams.

d. Combined win percentage in conference games of conference opponents (i.e., the strength of conference schedule).

e. Total number of wins in a 12-game season. The following conditions will apply to the calculation of the total number of wins: Only one win against a team from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision or lower division will be counted annually. Any games that are exempted from counting against the annual maximum number of football contests per NCAA rules. (Current Bylaw 17.10.5.2.1) shall not be included.

f. Highest ranking by SportSource Analytics (team Rating Score metric) following the last weekend of regular-season games.

g. Coin toss

I hope they flip him, USC been playing like trash and Colorado is on the come up.

Great win tonight, bowl eligible but we want more.
Riley is obviously the choice if you want to play QB. The Problem is that Riley will look for portal QB’s each year. That is something he needs to seriously consider

Yep don’t see Title game unless two L are given to, two of the top 3

Will be ranked later today… even tho Deion begged not to be

He want the team to stay focus
The buffs would need to win out. I think BYU runs the table based on who they have left to play.

Iowa state will have at least 2 losses

Now it will be left to see if Kansas state can run the table. But I think the Buffs lose two more games

Good thing the buffs don’t give a fuck about any of your thoughts

My gut feeling is the Buffs win out and make to to the playoffs. They are just playing with such confidence but I don’t want to get ahead of myself

But one or two more losses will still be an outstanding season to me

I actually been wondering how the rating been also…

But figured with them control the game for the most part…. Folks excitement of them losing at there

Deion Sanders and Colorado Are No Longer Ratings Gold

The Buffaloes are 5-2 on the year but fewer people are tuning in.

The Deion Sanders Experience in Boulder, Colo. is yielding a better on-field return as year two of the grand experiment continues. Interestingly enough, a more consistent performance on the gridiron is happening against the backdrop of falling television ratings for Coach Prime's program.

Colorado's victory over Arizona this past Saturday drew only 2.02 million viewers, per Sports Media Watch. This makes it the least-watched television event of the Sanders era. Which makes a lot of sense considering the Buffaloes took care of business early and often to take away any intrigue, plus the late-afternoon window put the FOX broadcast up against Alabama-Tennessee, Michigan-Illinois and other more compelling games. It actually signaled a drop-off from the 3.18 million viewers who tuned in for the Nebraska-Indiana Big Noon Kickoff showcase.

Sanders's squad is averaging 3.84 million viewers, a 49% decrease from last year at this time. There's also been far fewer pregame shows broadcasting from the site of their games and breathless attention has turned into pretty standard coverage.

One could surmise that the bloom is off the rose, but give credit to Sanders. His team is winning. It takes a 5-2 record into Saturday's game against Cincinnati and it's not outlandish to think Colorado could flirt with 10 victories on the season when all is said and done. Or things could spiral out of control and the Buffaloes could match last season's stumble across the finish line.

Sanders brings his own spotlight with him wherever he goes, but it has been dimmer this season. Perhaps the idea that he would care how many eyeballs are on him is insulting as he puts together an honest-to-goodness impressive campaign. Actually, winning will do more for the program than making headlines, so it's not like the dip in television interest is a bad thing. And at the end of the day, it makes a lot of sense. There are so many out there who tuned in to watch the train wreck. Now that Colorado is offering standard, quality football, it's less compelling.

So maybe this is a really good sign for the Buffaloes and Sanders, who—it seems outlandish to say—are actually flying a bit under the radar.

I'm not sure what structural issues Bo is talking about. I think there is more of a true team this year compared to last year. With that being said, they do have an easier schedule in the big 12, but I think they beat Nebraska if they played them now.
One thing Nebraska like bringing that pressure but I said this before the UCF game.

Someone thought I was talking crazy

Kansas State was just electrical just like them, so a game against them can go either way

What it Takes to FEED the COLORADO BUFFALOES | AthlEATS

do remember coach prime hearing the athletes only getting two meals a day and then requesting that they provide three meals a day. I'm glad the students appreciate it

We can confirm that the food is amazing too!

When I ran track in college not having access to a proper balanced diet really affected me. Going from my parents cooking to unhealthy cafe food was challenging. This is so important to the athletes and I’m glad they have Coach Prime and Chef Carl

First year hype and the media did over hype it either for or against so that was perfect storm for good ratings for either reason. My guess is they are probably still doing relatively well in ratings because the Prime effect is real and we have this thread as evidence. I don't think there's any og CU fans here. Their schedule only had one top 25 team so that probably doesn't help much. If they could've broken into the top 25 things would've been much better.
