How Alec Baldwin’s Defense Set the ‘Rust’ Actor Free: ‘It Was Incredible Lawyering’
Alec Baldwin's lawyers complained for months about the failure to turn over evidence in the 'Rust' trial. With clever lawyering, the case collapsed.

I'm IATSE union and the person to blame is the prop checker and WHOEVER touched that weapon before it hit the set...LOOOOONG before Alec even touched it. Bogus case.

No one wants to know the answer to the ONLY QUESTION THAT MATTERS?
WHERE THE HELL DID THE REAL GUN COME FROM?
It wasn't the gun that was an issue, they frequently use real weapons in movies and television.
The issue was that real ammo was loaded into the weapon instead of blanks which is the responsibility of the armorer who has already been convicted for her negligence with this incident and the resulting death.
Which is why them trying to charged Baldwin has always been bullshit.
Alec being charged is like my mechanic fixing my brakes and I get in the car and run over someone in the shop parking lot cause I can't stop. Then get charged w/ manslaughter.
Pure political witch hunt and if I had Alec's money, I would be suing whoever was responsible for this obvious malicious prosecution.
Exactly!I don't get it.
If your mechanic repaired your brakes and you still couldn't properly stop your car...
Shouldn't you, the mechanic and the manufacturer be liable for the accident?
All that information is out there, the gun and the live ammo all came from the person who's in jail, she was a nepo baby who wasn't good at her job which is why she's rightfully in jail as we speak. She mixes up a box of live ammo with blanks and failed to make sure they weren't love rounds before loading the gun. According to industry pros all the ammo should have been double checked but she failed to do so.okay not that in cool with that but answer the question then
WHERE DID THE REAL AMMO COME FROM?
Because that's what I meant and should have more specific about
I want to know where EXACTLY the GUN AND THE AMMO came from before we just move on and let ANYONE off the hook?
Am I crazy for thinking that information is important?
I don't get it.

Exactly!
This is not an apples to apples comparison as it's laid out but to speak on the case itself, I'm sure Baldwin as a producer will be sued and probably held liable and have to pay cash to the family, but are you both suggesting he should have been charged with manslaughter for the mistake the armourer made?
I answered that question, the court documents and shows that covered it answered that question. Did you miss my first post? The person in charge, who is currently in prison, accidentally brought love rounds on set that she had just bought recently and confused with her blanks, she didn't double check the way she was supposed to and loaded the gun.I already said what my only question is...
Why is it that no one wants to know where the gun and ammo came from?
And why a loaded gun was in set?

No... I'm saying he should not have been charged. This is not an apples to apples comparison as it's laid out but to speak on the case itself, I'm sure Baldwin as a producer will be sued and probably held liable and have to pay cash to the family, but are you both suggesting he should have been charged with manslaughter for the mistake the armourer made?
