I have never eaten a green in my life. My grandmother used to make greens all the time. My brother said he rolled up to our grandmothers house one day and he asked her what she was cooking. She said greens, he said I don't eat greens. She said you've never had greens before, get some greens Apparently he started eating greens after that.

I love my grandmother and miss her. Now that I think about it she passed away 30 years ago last month. With that said I still don't eat greens

It's certain things Black folks don't do. Washing Greens in a bathtub is one of them.

Greens have a hell of a lot of dirt in them. When people have to cook for a large group, sometimes they washed those greens in tubs. I've seen it many times so that those greens can be washed and rinsed thoroughly...
