Polls show majority oppose reparations
Niambi Carter, a Howard University associate professor of political science, told us at the end of Biden's first year in office that his promise was easy for the president to ignore because
it is a "deeply unpopular issue."
Although Biden knows Black voters are a core constituency, Carter said, the president also knows white Americans' support for reparations is comparatively anemic.
Multiple polls in recent years have shown a majority of all Americans oppose reparations.
and even with that...youre STILL getting more movement on the left than you ever will on the right...sooo WHY are you against Kamala for president and indifferent to dems having leverage???
Let’s look at “unpopular” issues that Dems have embraced and advanced over the years:
“….In 1996, 68% of Americans opposed same-sex marriage, while only 27% supported. In 2018, 67% of Americans supported same-sex marriage, while only 31% opposed. As of 2018, 60% of Americans said they would not mind if their child married someone of the same gender….”
Biden declares LGBTQ rights his No. 1 legislative priority
“…The
NPR/Ipsos poll shows that nearly two-thirds of Americans (63%) are opposed to allowing transgender women and girls to compete on teams that align with their gender identity, while 24% overall support that.
Among Democrats, opinion is fairly split: a plurality, 46%, support trans female athletes' right to compete on women's and girls sports teams, while 41% oppose it.
Independent voters oppose trans female athletes right to compete by 3:1 (21% support; 63% oppose).
Among Republicans, support plummets to just 4%, while 88% oppose….”

“…Half of Americans — including 42% of Democrats — say they'd support
mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, according to a new Axios Vibes survey by The Harris Poll.
- And 30% of Democrats — as well as 46% of Republicans — now say they'd end birthright citizenship, something guaranteed under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution….”

On the black vote, I couldn’t say it any better:
“You’re the one who put the present Democratic administration in Washington DC. The whites were evenly divided. It was the fact that you threw 80 percent your votes behind the Democrats that put the Democrats in the White House. When you see this, you can see that the Negro vote is the key factor. And despite the fact that you are in a position to be the determining factor, what do you get out of it? The Democrats have been in Washington DC only because of the Negro vote. They’ve been down there four years, and after all other legislations they wanted to bring up ,they brought it up and gotten it out of the way, and now they bring up you. You put them first, and they put you last ‘cause you’re a chump, a political chump.”
He doesn’t stop there:
“Anytime you throw your weight behind the political party that controls two-thirds of the government, and that party can’t keep the promise that it made to you during election time, and you’re dumb enough to walk around continuing to identify yourself with that Party, you’re not only a chump, but you’re a traitor to your race.”
