Usually I would agree to sit the starters
But in this case, the 49ers & Saints cancelled joint practice earlier this week
So I guess thats why Shannahan wants to give the starters a series or two
And I'm assuming, the same thing with the Saints as well
Starters need to practice with another team, for a little bit to gauge where they are

Ive been saying this since both QBs joined the team... And Im going to say this for the last time.. Russell Wilson will start the season but Justin will get the the lead the team before the season ends. The question is how many games will it take.... It may take an injury or incompetence on his part. I always favored Justin Fields. I kept saying we need a mobile quarterback..
