I think this is what people are not getting.

They think (particularly BLACK people, who are used to being fucked over and dealing in spite of) that it will be, at the worst, more of the same bullshit, just harder, like what we have seen during the past 20 years or so.

That is not what is at stake. The situation is FAR more grave, and IMMEDIATE than that.

Someone like him having that kind of power, means he will never leave office, until he is dead or incapacitated. His family will become essentially American oligarchs, and we will be a western version of Russia, meaning even saying the wrong thing about a politician you dislike will be met with retribution, up to and including death.

This is not Bush on steroids we are trying to avoid. It is literally the possibility of an American hitler.

Polls don't vote. I personally didnt think Biden had to step down, and would have preferred he stay in, but now that he has, I can't deny the energy that is there that wasn't there before. If dems show up, the only way Kamala loses is if the GOP cheats, and I do believe they will attempt to.

Trump has done nothing to expand his base and appeal to new voters. The main group he is trying to appeal to is Black men because y'all are seen as easy targets.

Many senior supporters outside of his hardcore MAGA base, have died off or switched to Biden to protect soc sec and due to lower medication costs. Some of them had student loans forgiven also.

Women are fighting for reproductive rights and the right to get healthcare should they have a non viable pregnancy. Seniors who fought this battle and thought it was ancient history are fighting for that also. They understand it's not enough to protect it on a state level if they let the GOP back in power. Dems are also getting better with messaging that potus needs a dem house and senate.

Many evangelicals who voted for him previously may not vote for Kamala because she's a woman, but if they vote third party or stay home, it's a net benefit for dems.

There are many who have said they won't vote for Trump because he is a felon, or because of the Epstein transcripts that DeSantis released a few weeks back.

There are some who won't vote for him because of Jan 6.

There are some who won't vote because they see him as a danger to the country who stole state secrets.

There are some who seen the cognitive decline and the sleeping in court and at the RNC etc.

Some because he said to flatten Palestine. Biden had some who said they wouldn't vote over his handling of it, but im not convinced those were actual dem voters. Harris doesn't really have that baggage and people are pushing back saying we can't help Palestinians if we can't help ourselves

The electorate is younger and more comfortable with the idea of a woman potus. She has also been traveling the world and meeting with world leaders on behalf of the U.S..

States like FL are on play.

Then there are those just tired of Trump and division and all the hate that goes along with him at the top.

That's before you get to all the pros of Kamala and dems in general.
