No star Black American NBA player has ever successfully groomed their kid to play in the NBA mainly from fear of the pressure and scrutiny. A lot of their kids are GAY and didn't even play ball. That's why most 2nd gen players we've had have been the children of bums and guys who barely played or played overseas. Think Kobe's dad, Kyrie's dad, Book's dad, Tatum's dad, Jaren Jackson Sr, Jae Crowder's dad, Andrew Wiggins dad, etc, etc. Then look how the stars kids like Jordan's sons didn't make it, Magic, Shaq, Isiah, Wade, etc, the list goes on and on.
Scottie Pippen was a star player in the 90's and his son is in the league, but he went undrafted and came in with 0 hype. Dell Curry is prolly the most high profile player to get his son in there with a hype train behind him, but he wasn't a star, he was a 6th man and rotational guy. Bronny literally is the first one to do this as the kid of superstar. By the time Deuce gets his age it will be a lot easier and somewhat expected of him to make it. We're going to view it a lot differently once Bronny is successful.
