Didn’t watch Double or Nothing, as I’m not a fan of AEW, its stories or the wrestlers who were competing.
Saw clips on Twitter and from what I saw, I didn’t miss anything. Happy folks who like AEW enjoyed it. Here are a few takes I had after browsing through Twitter….

- From what I saw folks are cold on Mercedes’s win and of course she brings up WWE at her presser after the show.
- Ospreay dodged (perhaps) a career changing injury.
- No one is talking about Swerves championship match.
- Edge doing shit he probably shouldn’t be doing and an appearance by Fat Gangrel.
- Anarchy in the Arena was more of the ridiculousness I just have no interest in.
- MJF returns and still finds a way to bring up WWE.

Never really added anything of value in the first place.
He has an eye for talent. He did discover both Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill and Samantha Irvin as well as Braun Strowman... AEW fumbled Cargill and Henry, they could have used him more as a talent scout.
Meh, AEW has a ton of talent scouts. Finding talent isn't the problem. TK's booking of said talent is the problem.

First match ospraey vs strong
Decent match, glad ospraey didn't paralyze himself but boy is willy boy overrated, he's a less smooth ricochet, missed a lot of spots and looked sloppy at times, shit happens. It was fine. tbh he's at the right company for him, I was more impressed with Roderick strong but overall I wasn't bored to tears or questioning commiting suicide so it's a win for aew.
Adam Cole comes out, in a show that clocks in over an astounding 4 hours I wish this man walked faster lol I was not ready for story time with Adam Cole.
To be fair last Vegas does suck so I agree with Adam.
Mjf comes down in triple H cosplay but says he doesn't need Vince McMahon lol also wolverine hair

Not really digging this match, it feels like I'm watching the same match over and over again all night(except the girls, that was just terrible) I grow tired of this, I'm officially bored.
Here comes the pockets gimmick, nothing stupid about this. Another safe spot from aew lol Tony Khan is determined to murder someone lmao

Unfortunately we are far past the days of something like this ending a match even though it would have been believable.
A gripe of mine that may be permanent with AEW's world title scene is that it should be a triangle with Swerve (or whoever is the champ) at the top. But it's like a trapezoid with multiple people along with the champion on the plateau. It can make the champ look unimportant until his segment happens. There's just as much of an imbalance in character hierachy as there is cool stuff happening. But it's been like that.

I'm not sure what you mean by "homegrown talent" because 98% of the wrestlers you see today wrestled in some indy promotion before joining WWE or AEW. It wasn't the case that AEW or WWE took these women off the street and trained them to become wrestlers (If that's what you mean by homegrown). All these women had some form of training prior.

Oof. The chip is oddly shaped, it's also not consistent where the breaks are in the pattern on the chip, you have wonky letters with different shapes the O's don't match, also the way the ribbon goes behind the chip it doesn't make sense to come out in front where it does.
Hell why is the top ribbon behind the chip obscuring the letters? It would have been a better design choice to match the way the ribbon goes over the chip and show off more of that piss poor lettering. There's blowouts and the more you look at the chip itself the more you can see wrong with it.

On the god of war scale I'd give it a 5/10 which is an improvement to the last shit I watched from aew. A lot of pointless weapon spots, no real stakes for any of the matches, in ring psychology is almost non existent, but there's definitely some talent on the roster, if only TK could get out of their way and hire some professionals. Production wise it could be worse, but it definitely could be better. The announcers are often uninterested and bore me to death.
