I wish these wrestling companies would run shows on Saturday and Sunday mornings like when we were kids. WOW is the only one I can think of that runs shows on Sunday mornings.

AEW should do an early Saturday show. Fuck it, they minus whale do a WCW Saturday Night type of show that airs at 6:05pm on Turner stations.

With so much primetime competition, it can’t hurt to run shows earlier, if not for nostalgia sake. I love it when WWE runs PPVs overseas, these Saturday morning/afternoon shows are great and definitely beats the later night shows.

I used to live those early morning shows.

Dynamite was a solid show. Still hate Jericho being on my TV, everything else was pretty solid overall, well, except that shit with Hook. There is nothing they can do to make me believe Hook is a "killer" and the promo and faces he's making are coming off corny as fuck...

- The Willow/Mercedes segment came off well. If Mercedes is taking table bumps, I guess she's cleared to go. She'll turn full heel and beat Willow with help from either Kamille or Megan Bayne as her enforcer.

- Loving the Elite. This is the best work Jack Perry has done in his whole career. Okada has been fantastic, and The Bucks are doing their thing. They do need to ramp up things even more.

- Swerve/Cage match was good and the Swerve/Christian storyline is starting to cook.

- Toni Storm continues to do excellent character work.

- Looks like they're teasing a Takeshita/Moxley IWGP Title match for "Double Or Nothing".

- "Deathwish" Darby returning was wild.

- House Of Black/ Adam Copeland storyline heating up. Need more of that type of violence out of HOB.

- Jericho brings the show down.

- Hook will always look like a dork.

- No Mina tonight but I was asking for too much.

Yeah, That's some good memories right there!!...Saturdays mornings and afternoons wrestling were the best!!..

Also, AEW does have Sat Night show on the Turner Stations..It's called AEW Collision!!..It comes on at 8pm on TNT!!...

This was a good segment. Willow delivered that last line perfectly. That was a cold line.
Willow has won me over as a babyface and a talent and the crowd last night was clearly rooting for her.
If Mercedes is 100% they have the potential to put on a great match at DoN.

Everything else on the show was meh.
Didn't like the Swerve vs. that roided up wanna-be Lucha Brian Cage.
They've dropped the ball with Swerve as champion so far.
Still not buying into the Bucks wanna-be NWO angle right now.
They look like a bunch of high school kids that took over the principal's office for a day. LOL

I was honestly kind of surprised when Collision was announced that they didn't have it start at 6:05pm as a nod to the past.
I get it may not be possible with today's TV to start a program 5 minutes after the hour and technically it would be starting at 5:05 here in Texas but it still would have been cool.

Probably don't want to start 5 minutes after the top of the hour as they would lose the lead in ratings numbers.

I know kids these days have many entertainment options, but having earlier shows on the weekends could bring different eyes to the product outside of AEW neckbeards. Guess they can't do blood outside of primetime which is why they avoid it.

Daytime TV programming, especially on the weekends, has been all but abandoned by most TV and cable networks.
Not enough kids watch TV during the day on weekends so the networks don't feel the need to put on new programming and instead just run mini-marathon reruns and the 'EI' crap that took the place of Saturday morning cartoons.

Haven't really watched AEW these last few weeks, is this true?

Pretty much.
They have Swerve getting his ass kicked all the time or getting wins over some mid-card nobody.
I guess in TK's Adderall-ridden mind this is supposed to be Swerve having all the odds stacked against him so a victory means more but this just makes him a punching bag and makes him look weak.
They've botched this title run already, even the AEW stans have to admit that.
I don't want to hear nothing about how AEW is "so inclusive" and treats their Black talent better than WWE.

And in other news, AEW Dynamite ratings continue to drop :smh:
Yes, NBA playoffs, hockey, the all-night gas station that just opened up down the street, yadda yadda yadda....
Did the NBA playoffs and hockey not exist until this year?
How come the ratings weren't this low in the past years against the same competition?

It would be interesting to see their financials, but i wonder at what point Triple H gets tired of this little bug and decides to buy them out..

I've legit given up on the Swerve title run.....at this point, it is what it is....The start stop shit with Hobbs before he got injured, the same with Keith Lee, the handling of Swerve as champion.....fuck....

AEW is not putting any dent into WWE's business so there would be no point in buying them out, plus TK would be too stubborn/proud to ever sell AEW to WWE.
BTW, Smackdown tonight is in Jacksonville (AEW country) and it would be funny if Triple H did an updated invasion angle of AEW HQs like he did with DX on WCW back in the day. LOL
I can only think that they are trying to do the same thing with him that the WWE did with Cody Rhodes...trying to get more fans behind him "hero in peril"? :dunno:
I know what they're trying to do, but they're doing a terrible job at the execution.
Big difference between Swerve and Cody right now is that AEW's bad booking cooled Swerve off right before he won the championship as opposed to Cody who was the clear fan favorite (so much so that WWE changed the WM main even on the fly) before he won the championship.

Not going to happen. Doing so would legitimize AEW as a competitor promotion. When DX did it, they clowned WCW for holding their friends as hostages.

AEW has WWE's castoffs.
