Yes and no. It was never 100% effective in preventing infection, but it had an effective rate in the 90%s for the original strain. It was less effective against the variants, but it still reduced hospitalizations and severe symptoms by helping your immune system respond better and faster.

No, but it was a vaccine against not a cure for. It's an RNA virus like the flu which will require ongoing updates to address new variants. Some rna virus based diseases like polio were considered eradicated, but thanks to the anti vax folk, polio is making a comeback.
Doesn’t mean it worked, it wasn’t a cure. Just means you had luck, took the necessary precautions, and or stayed away from folks who did have Covid, many who were vaccinated.

Here's another fact, the mRNA vaccine was not meant to "cure" or "prevent" anything. You and he both know that. So to act like his questions about prevention and cures was genuine and deserving of real answers and effort is borderline disrespectful.
The mRNA vaccine was designed to stimulate your own body to produce cells similar to the covid virus cells. Your immune system will then have a healthy/normal environment to work in as it determines how best to fight these foreign cells.
So if a person then does get infected with covid your body already as a blueprint/ gameplan on how to fight the virus. And in theory it will not be as severe/ dangerous to the persons health.
It eventually disappeared.. like I said even the worst plague in history eventually went away

Yes the vaccines allowed for people to go back to normal. Without the vaccine, people would be dealing with flu like symptoms every few months which would have severely weakened the body

Think about what you are saying? The people who got vaccinated allowed the world to go back to normal. Without the vaccine, millions would have got long Covid, hospitalized and or dead.
During any pandemic, mandated vaccines will be required until effective treatments are created or the understanding of the virus has improved
