Fight between high school teacher 6’7 "Re’Kwon Smith" and student caught on camera.

Damn his people can't get him out on a $9K Bond? Kid deserved it, but the grown man will pay the cost unfortunately. The kid was most likely not a scholar, but it's crafting GED city now.

Las Vegas Substitute teacher Re'Kwon Smith, 27, engaged in a physical altercation with a student who allegedly used a racial slur towards him at Valley High School

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A video of a fight between a student and a substitute teacher at a Las Vegas valley high school was shared on social media Thursday, sources said.

A substitute teacher and a student engaged in a fight, which was caught on camera at Valley High School in east Las Vegas. Sources indicated that the fight began after a student used a racial slur and that the video is being used as evidence by the Clark County School District Police Department.

CCSD police identified the teacher as Re’Kwon Smith, 27.

He was a substitute assigned to Valley High School and has been employed by the District since November 2023. He will be removed from CCSD’s substitute pool and is no longer eligible to serve as a substitute in the district, according to police.

Court records show Smith faces several charges including battery resulting in serious bodily harm, assault school pupil on school property/vehicle/activity, threatening to do bodily harm to public school student, and interfering with a student from attending school.

He is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on $9000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 26.

CCSD officials issued a statement Thursday, saying, “Violence in any form is unacceptable and goes against the fundamental principles of education and respect. Any altercation between a teacher and a student is thoroughly investigated, and appropriate disciplinary action is taken.”

A statement was also issued by Valley High School officials.

“We are aware of an altercation involving a staff member and a student,” said Kimberly Perry-Carter, principal of Valley High School.

Sources tell 8newsnow.com that both individuals were arrested by police following the incident. Sources say officials from CCSDPD are planning to release official information on the incident.

In real life..if you 5'6 and you talking shit to a 6'7 man..would u really try to fight him and think u will be successful????? Only a dummy would or a racist white teenager and he got knocked the fuck out and embarrassed at school and all across the internet..dumb ass

There's no way in Hell I'd teach Jr. High and High School today. Most kids have no discipline at all. They don't get it at home, and they can't get it from school. The only people who are allowed to physically discipline a kid is the police it seems.

That kid's parents should be ashamed of themselves...

Big Bro gave the kid what his Daddy should have warned him about: "Not everyone is going to put up with your shit... Some people out there will put hands on your ass if you talk too much shit!"

If they start a Go Fund Me for the teacher, "I Got Five on It!"

If you find yourself fighting children you have lost in life.

Win lose or draw you lost.
Fighting women, old people, the disabled or children you look like a sucka everytime.
bruh.

some "kids" ran up on me at my house once.

was i supposed to cower and run into my home?

Hard headed boy finnally lernt something that day and what they want to do lock up the teacher?

First mistake was fighting a 6’7 cat named Re’Kwon. 2nd mistake was fighting with a backpack on. He learned a valuable life lesson early. He gotta be humble for the rest of his teen years 20, 30 because maan they gone roast the hell out of him for the next decade. “You remember that time Miguel got his ass beat by a substitute teacher?”

It's a Messican school and the student was a Messican and expect to see more shit like this going on because the Messican out number us now.

The Messican kid who looks older than the teacher got knocked out,the other Messicans helped him up and the first thing he did was shout "You're going to jail N-word" and this was apart of his plan but he's a victim and he's going to play victim cause that's the only way to get revenge.

There's going to be clashes with Messicans and the rest of them that are falling into this country and just like in the prison systems Black's are going to have to stick together and punish them to the point where they'll think twice before even crossing that line with us.

I wish that brother luck and these students have to learn that you can't bring the streets into school and if that's what you're on just go ahead and dropout.

That kid will be building Fox News Junior.

Seems to me priority was given to the child and he was given an extra credit education that moved into the hall way. The subject was called see these hands feel these hands. Looks like he got a chance at a receiving a good grade from my perspective.

I agree but what if the child whoops your ass? Seems you're taking the L either way so ya might as well get your licks in so you can sleep better at night. Disclaimer: I don't in any way condone abusing no child but I also don't like the idea of getting hit upside the head by a man, woman or child either. Losing situation no matter how you look at it. In every scenario I think you have to chose violence.

Still worth it :dunno:
To who, you? Of course it was worth it to you and to me maybe because it doesn't personally affect us at all. However, while dude was being booked, I bet he was kicking himself for letting a teenage asshole fuck up his career.

If kids thought that running up on you was a good idea yes you lost in life. You clearly have no respect in your community.

I'm always for protecting yourself but if you find yourself in altercations with children lol. I can't respect that.

LOL once again any fight with a child is a lose lose situation. The primary reason you should avoid them if at all possible.

If a child CAN kick your ass or put you in fear of your safety. You are a sucka. If any kind of child ran up on me I am confident that they would not put me in fear of my safety. I would treat them like a child trip them restrain them nonviolently. When I worked with group homes we had Physical Intervention techniques that we could non-violently restrain an individual. I've used these on 250lb plus adults so restraining a child non-violently should not be a problem.

How do you avoid fights with Children. Some of you seem to think its unavoidable. Here are some easy ways.

1. Don't argue with children. -I've never gotten into a fight with someone that I didn't have an argument with.
2. If a child runs up on you (you a sucka go home) - Children don't run up on bears.
3. Get to know the kids in your community.

My entire life I have never had to fight a child. I've coached, taught mentored younger kids since I was 13 (started as a tutor for kids in my grade).
