They worked the Perry/Punk footage as a part of an angle as to why the Young Bucks lost to FTR at "All In". Since they're friends with Jack Perry the incident with Punk caused the Bucks to lose their focus going into their match with FTR hence them losing. Therefore, this sets up their upcoming ppv match with FTR with a renewed focus. So in the kayfabe sense that's why they aired the footage. Now you can call that lame and all that. I'm just telling you their reason for airing the footage.

That's the excuse for airing it, not the reason. The reason is that Tony's butt is hurt from the Ariel interview and he thought he could get punk in trouble(like a 4 year old snitching to mom) by releasing the footage. Saying otherwise is clearly a lie since they continue to respond to that interview and what Paul said. It's pretty sad man, you fans deserve better.

No punishment at all. There's still a lot a things I like about AEW just like there's still a lot of things I like about NJPW, ROH, and STARDOM. I don't put all my eggs in one basket when watching wrestling. There's a lot out there still to enjoy.

Not sure what y'all are reading but I don't see no one "Choosing" anything. AEW is shooting themselves in the foot and WWE is hitting high's in ratings. That's just the facts. Ain't nothing biased about it. Nobody had a problem when everyone was shitting on WWE when their programming was bad. And it was at a time. Not too long ago either. It's been said in this thread if you like presentation WWE is superior in it. If you like Japanese wrestling then NJPW and AEW is more your speed.

They kind of have to do it at this point I feel like. TK and AEW have put their wrestlers in such a shitty predicament they can't pretend like this shit is happening. Not sure if this is a battle the wrestlers can win though. Maybe it is best to ignore it.

And low-key I feel bad for Perry. I honestly don't understand why they are doing this to him if they were this pissed off at him why didn't they just fire him? They sending him to other programs and releasing videos like this of him isn't good for him they trying to send his ass to the Indys. I get he may not be a favorite now but shit man he let them use his dead dad in angles and this the thanks he gets for that shit?
