I took his comments differently than some of you. To me, it sounded like based on what he saw while he was there, businesses in struggling areas weren't doing well and he didn't want to name the ones with subpar service and hurt the business of already struggling restaurants.
Y'all can argue he didn't go to the "right" spots, but that still doesn't negate his lived experience of what he witnessed. I appreciate his not wanting to kick someone already down.
He put a spotlight on the problem to the point it is getting local news attention, hopefully some good and some help comes to those in the area and those trying to make their businesses thrive.
