Mos Def on Drake: “It’s……‘mall’……music”

The generation that let strippers dictate music
You mean Gen X and Millenials.

The move was ALWAYS been a party banger, track for men, track for women.

Hell, since I been in the A, dropping your music off at the strip club to let the “streets” hear it was an unofficial step to if ya sh!t was gonna bang or not.

I’ll admit.

I love quite a bit of Drakes music, wait…you mean the strippers Drake f*cks with, determine his music.

Okay, maybe that’s true…

Notice the Canadian faggot never disses on wax.

It’s always on social media or podcast interviews on some gossip shit like a true bitch.

Get on this mic Aubrey. Show hip hop the emcee you claim to be.

“We don’t believe you, you need more people.”

Come now bro stop it

Drake NEVER disses on wax?

Okay but it is inaccurate to say NEVER

That just ain't true
You’re right and I fixed the statement.

That being said, you know full well it’s few and far between with this dude putting down substantial quality on wax in the emcee realm and coming out a victor.

I implore any of his Stan’s to show me different cause hip hop got receipts and nobodies fooled.

The forever mood:

He threw subs at Kendrick too. Nothing overt like the Pusha or Drake thing tho. I think the Common L made him hesitant with K.Dot before the Meek win made him brave for Push. He's been taking potshots at Pusha over the last couple years. He really struggled with that L.

Come now .. who tf is Meek, really?

Residual 90’s leftovers that stepped onto the scene with no heavyweights in sight

Meek was a formidable opponent for him. A peer. And he came from the DVD Flamerz era so Meek was used to battling. He came up with those Philly spitters like Joey Jihad, Reed Dollaz, Tech 9... The pre-Smack/URL dudes (we need to really give those guys and that era their flowers. They were really the forefathers to this mega popular battle rap industry).

Meek's problem was he hit Drake with ammo that wasn't gonna ever penetrate his fanbase. Drake women's fanbase insulated him for years. They don't give a shit if he writes his bars. They don't care if some nigga literally pissed on him. Pusha found the chink in the armor with the women. No woman likes a deadbeat dad. And all the sistas were gonna be tight that he knocked up (and couldn't convince her to get an abortion like the rest) a white woman. Adidon was the perfect diss for Drake. Did exactly what it was supposed to do. Meek wasn't tactical enough. He only knew one way and it was never gonna work.

Meek lost because he didn't release any fucking music.

Drake dropped what two disses and nothing from Meek for months.

That was the issue.

I think he was fucking with Nicki at the time and that's what fucked him up.

Pusha's diss hit hard because he exposed something that people didn't know. I doubt Drake was a deadbeat not taking care his kid so that's out the window.

He just didn't want to let the public know at that time.

Pusha won that battle but it didn't hurt Drake amongst his fans.

And this the ONLY reason alotta hip hop don’t respect Meek now cause he shoulda handled the Canadian with EASE. Unlike the fraud, he came up in the circuit during that smack DVD era, which should’ve been enough to handle him and he still took that L.

That battle scene before smack was a wild time.
