I can respect that as a Miami thing. He was arguably the greatest football player ever at the time — arguably (and less controversially at least the greatest passer ever in his day). I’m fine with retiring Russell’s number as a league-wide honor but nobody but the Celtics should actually hang up his jersey. Miami hanging a Jordan Heat jersey up is the stupidest “ring of honor” decision in the history of sports, with the Mavs following the precedent with Kobe being second.
Why do NBA coaches let the opposing team go on a 20-0 run before they decide to call a time out? I could've swore coaches used to call TO's to stop momentum.

Man did Isaiah Thomas piss on the lawn of every single player post the 80's? He is so universally underrated and disregarded by all these talking heads. He beat Magic Bird and Jordan repeatedly at 6 fucking 1. At a time with No 3 pointer (so you couldn't hide outside the paint), hands checks and elbows allowed.
