Many kids from low income areas already struggle, but the pandemic has speed up a problem that already existed, which is a large percent of them are illiterate and mentally behind developmental-wise.
Like, second and third graders that don’t know their ABCs, sounds of letters, can’t write, or any basic functions you would expect at that age.
