Whoopi Goldberg said Millennials who can't afford a home are lazy and only want to work 4 hours which isn't enough to afford a house!

Wait, hold up.

Did she call motherfuckers lazy or did she say its going to be hard to afford a house on only 4 hours of work (vs the traditional 8).

That's a big difference. You got 2 average people that get married and are working part time, its going to be hella hard to afford a 400k house payment. Remember, that same house might have been 230k a few years ago with a 3% 30 year mortgage.

If she said they are lazy, well, that's fucked up but the twitter page didn't quote her saying that. I read it as click bait, which they have been doing a lot lately. Wouldn't be surprised if white people owned that page.

Everyday, my list of black celebrities that I once admired is getting smaller and smaller.

That’s all I have to say.
Dude. If you gonna be an adult in this world you need to verify information before you rush to judgement.
If you go look up her actual comment in full context, there is no way you could disagree with her.

She's out of touch.
People that work 40 hours can no longer afford a house
She is talking about people who have no work ethic and only want to work 4 hours per day.
What about them? What she is specifically referring to. Should they think they can buy a house?

She is talking about young kids who work in fast food but want to be paid $40.00/hr.

Then they get upset when the boss tells them not to come to work late.

Then they want a tip from customers when they didn't provide exceptional customer service.

People used to be able to work at those jobs and still have a place to live

Its crazy. Dude i know copped a house in VA for 400k+ and sold it this year for 925k+ and moved down south to retire. People that bought it got in at a 7% interest rate. I'm going to assume, besides having bread, they are waiting for rates to drop so they can refi. Whats funny is 7% is a deal right now.

Hoping I can make that kinda money off mine when I downsize as well. Still got some thing to do to it before I can command that much money in NC.

Their delusional, they think Ubering and delivering shit will get them rich.

Going from job to job for whatever reason thinking it's all good when that job might not be there in a few years then what?or some messican is there.

She still didnt call anyone lazy. Reality is, rates and high house prices are keeping people out of the market. Shit, then when they can get a house, they need to deal with either high ass real estate taxes and/or high as insurance. Then add a HOA or Condo Fee and it's all the way fucked up. Cats in South Florida are looking at insurance rates that equal their mortgage payments.

Whoopi is just out of touch with what’s going on in this country.

The Labor market and economy today is not what it was pre-2010.

The Good Ol’ Days of graduating high school, get a Union job at the local factory/plant, work there for 30 years, retire and get a gold watch/pension are history.

I think we saying the same thing. The good ol days are gone. What Woopi said ain't rocket science. In fact, it was so obvious, it really didnt need to be said. Its on some yesterday's price ain't today's price shit.

South Florida is so fucked

I know there's a bunch of folks making bread on social media so maybe 4 hours is enough for them. In my field, I had to work 10 and 12 hours to get ahead of the pack.
You know a "bunch"? How many exactly. Because to make a great living working 4 hours is rare and unrealistic.
