I wouldn't say,she overrated like Elvis but that album wasnt all that either....I dont understand,how most of these hip hop sites,rappers and R&B stars put Lauryn Hill on any list when she released one studio album.
Even,Pras released a second studio album before her and most consider him the weakest link in the Fugees. What's her excuse not releasing more than one studio album.
I can name female rappers that's better and more appealing than her. Can folks wait til a rapper or singer release their second album before putting them on some type of list..
All the drama about production, song writing credit aside and quirky personality traits.
The album was classic in that era.
"THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL" is better than 99.9% of the bullshit that has come in the last 5-7 years.

- A TALENT who did not have to sell sex to sell records
- The best MC in THE FUGEES
- VERY ATTRACTIVE
- One of the TOP Female MC's of that era
- Loved by the "HIP-HOP HEADZ" as a for real, true and living "RHYME SPITTER"
- A Force to be reckoned with
- A Entertainer destined for a long career and super stardom

At this point, I don't feel sorry for anyone who buys tickets for a Lauryn Hill concert. She exhibits signs of serious mental illness, has a track record of being late, and does not respect her audience. She has consistently shown that she does not respect her audience and now she said it. The crowd isn't booing in the video so apparently, they aren't that bothered by it. I don't get it. It's not like she is a legendary artist. She had one album 25 years ago.
