When the Giants Head Coach threw a fit when Jones was on the bench that should tell you all you want to know about DJ.
If he didn't step up his game after that the lockeroom would notice. His Offensive line might be making executive decisions to get DJ out of there. I've seen it happen before on better teams than the Giants.
If Taylor gets a start and doesn't get hit like DJ, that should tell you a few things. DJ is holding on to the ball to much. Its not like DJ is more athletic than Taylor. Taylor shouldn't see the field better because he's smaller too.
It just sucks for Giants fans that his albatross contract isn't going anywhere for a couple more years. His only use is helping the Giants tank while saving face that they are actually trying to win.

But it looked exactly the same when Tyrod was out there as well. Taylor almost had to come out after a hit he took. The O-Line was not providing the protection it needed.
As for being a team leader, he actually is but just not a vociferous one. He says all the right things, takes all the fault on himself even when it isn't his to take. I've yet to hear any player current or former say anything negative about how he approaches the game. And after he took that hit that resulted in him having to leave the game, the backup LT, Joseph Ezeudu couldn't stop apologizing to him and even then DJ took the blame off his shoulders despite it not being his fault.

Micah don't know football history, the Cowboys have 31 rivals in the NFL. 49ers whipped them good, he needs to just take it like a man. No Cowboys team has ever been undefeated, they talked shit to Emmitt, Irvin, Landry's teams too.
He needs to calm his down, and get used to that every single game as long as he is a Cowboys. Everybody is coming at him and the Cowboys every week out of hatred of fans and the "America's Team" moniker. Every time the Cowboys lose a game, he will be picked on and criticized. Its part of being a Cowboy, every single game is a rivalry game.
Every team hates the Cowboys, and every owner is jealous of Jerry's ability to outsell every owner with his product, even though they have not been a championship successful team since the 90's.
Jerry is the only owner that can put a "shit" product on the field, have circus acts, and still outsell and make more profits, without sniffing a Super Bowl.
The other teams must win all the time, to get any media or outside fan attention.
