I think it will be a easier task to make a WWE fan into a UFC fan conpared to making a UFC fan into a WWE fan. Generally if you're a fan of MMA trying to transition from something that's real into something that's fake isn't gonna cut it. I honestly don't know what you'll do to win that MMA fan over.

Goddamn. They went from having the largest paid audience in pro wrestling history to having to give away tickets to fill a tennis stadium in NYC in less than a month.
The Wembley show was a big deal, no doubt about, it although it's been overshadowed by all the fallout from it.
However, as I said it was only ONE show and it was a first time visit to a foreign market.
Their ticket sales here in the states have been in a slump lately.
There's no way they will sell as many tickets for next year's Wembley's show.

And before others here say it, yes, WWE has had similar slumps in the past and has overcome them.
However, WWE had a much longer history when those slumps occurred so they were in a better position to overcome them.
AEW is not even 5 years in as a company and already facing these issues.
I want AEW to thrive and do well, but the powers that be there just seem to get in their own way when it comes to sustaining a long-term business.

AEW has been all up in the pockets of those folks up there. And running big shows too. I'll think running in smaller unique venues from time to time helps with things looking interesting visually, and would help to not have to run the risk of what happens when you can't sell out bigger venues. WWE's issue is that they'll always looks the same unless venue forces them to use their alternate entrance set up.

Given the historical aspect, I wish I went to Dynamite when they were in Duluth and I was at home watching it. Smh. Can't have that day back.

And Kaci Lennox is so fine

From the owner to the EVPs, they all seem to be more interested in entertaining themselves and their niche following, rather than building a large live event business. While there's nothing wrong with that. You can't take shots at or compare yourself to the other company that is more interested in being the #1 live event business in the world and not just the cool super indy wrestling one.

Too late for that.
I'm sure the fans who only watch highlights would go nuts and re-post clips and reactions for days.
But the match itself doesn't seem promising. Roman having to carry a out of shape Punk .... :smh:

Nor do I think Punk should come in outta nowhere and be the one to defeat Roman.

So it's bullying to ask a logical question involving a performer with a history of injuring other people?

Also Asuka's reponse to this was pretty poor. It doesn't matter if she didn't injure me personally as a human being with empathy, I'm allowed to have concern for other people being hurt.

Tiffany Stratton and Becky put on a show

I can see Tiffany Stratton getting moved up to the main roster pretty soon.
She has the looks, is a decent worker and can cut a promo.

He's right, there is little crossover between WWE and UFC fans. I'm sure Dana has done the research with numbers to back that up.
I know I've never been into UFC since there's no art to it (IMO) and watching a guy get pummeled to the ground in 30 seconds is not entertaining to me.
And most hardcore UFC fans aren't into the "fake" wrestling and probably roll their eyes at the product.

I look at it like this, I'm not there, I don't have intimate knowledge of how shit works there, so I'm not qualified to worry about it as a fan. The only ones that need to be concerned with safety are the people who actually work with Nia. That's part of the problem, people who never worked as a pro wrestler, or in the industry want to tell the people that do, how things should be. Be a fan and leave the behind the scenes shit to them.

Also, after the Hana Kimura situation, they absolutely gonna jump on posts like that because there are fans that go overboard with their comments.

Compassion for your fellow human being doesn't require qualifications. If a wrestler shows a pattern of hurting other wrestlers YOU the viewer should be concerned about it because you don't want your favorite wrestler to be injured. It also shows negligence on WWE's part for Nia to keep getting opportunities despite her track record.

It doesn't matter if you've worked in the industry or not. You the viewer can see things with your own eyeballs. Suggesting that a fan have tunnel vision and ignore obvious issues only insults that fan's intelligence.

Yes, fans can go overboard but I rather have a fan who cares than doesn't care.

I agree.
I'm no fan of hers, but some of these "incidents" with Nia Jax turned out to be works and not what marks thought it was.
For example, that match she had with Charlotte a couple of years ago turned out to be a work and they're actually still good friends.
It seems like a lot of the female wrestlers in the WWE locker room like Nia behind the scenes judging by social media posts.
So if the female wrestlers there like her and have no issues working with her, why should we care?
Plus, Rhia needs credible opponents right now because she's pretty much run through everyone on the roster.
I don't see Nia sticking around that long anyway.

As Asuka said, getting injured is part of the job, it happens...
This isn't about compassion or caring, it's about people outright not liking Nia and bitching about them bringing her back, period. All that extra is BS

Yes injuries are part of the job but there's a difference between getting injured on your own volition and somebody injuring you. Sloppiness in the ring shouldn't be defended. If anything I blame Vince/Triple H for repeatedly putting Nia in those spots/positions to begin with.

And WHY don't they like Nia? Is it a dislike that occured in a vacuum? Surely it's because she has a pattern of hurting people. Fans don't want that because they have COMPASSION for not wanting they're favorite wrestler hurt. Oh yes, it's about caring. I don't want KAIRI on the shelf due to do Nia's sloppiness. I CARE about that.

OK expert

Keeping it real. Yes Nia has been sloppy in the ring and girls have on occasion gotten hurt.

A lot of wrestling fans hate on her though because of her lineage and background.

If she was a white chick, folks wouldn't be hating her as much.

Shit, Seth Rollins was called sloppy for a while. Look at the Brawling Brutes guy that injured Big E, he also injured one of those recent tag team faggot call-ups from NXT and he is still on Television.

Injuries are part of wrestling but I think people go after Nia Jax extra because she's a woman of color who is related to the highest paid man in Hollywood, who is also related to wrestling royalty.

White boys in wrestling forums go extra on their hate for Nia Jax. Moreso than any other wrestler, man or woman, who seriously injured other wrestlers.

Not too hard to have more charisma and be more entertaining on the mic than the 'Cucamonga Kids'. LOL
Even the Bucks' most hardcore fans have to admit they're not as over as they were when AEW first started.

They're not as interesting anymore because they've done it all. There's no big match left for them. Once you've achieved everything you get boring. At this point they should be there to put over talent like Aussie Open.
