Deion Sanders offered the Colorado job- Official Colorado season thread

Do you think his style would be a good fit in Crackaville Alabama?
I think he soul turn that job own just on principle...

hell..i'm still giving colorado the side eye....it wouldn't surprise me if prime's first day there went like this....

and the first time he met that 98 year old biddy was probably like this...

Been wondering why #4 haven’t got any shine, this explains it..

Does not look good for him. I suspect that he will redshirt. He can play up to for games before he declares a redshirt. He has not been cleared for contact yet.

He can't take it all with him. Everybody that transferred to Colorado would have to sit out a year. Realistically, most of his dawgs only have a year or two of eligibility left. One thing about Deion tho, he can go in the portal and get some more dawgs.
I forgot about the technicality, but you’re right, he can rebuild anywhere because that Prime brand is hard to ignore.

If I’m a number 1 high school prospect, I would give Prime a hard look because of the Prime ecosystem. For instance, Travis Hunter has 857k followers on IG, he got him and his girl promoting skincare products. That Prime ecosystem is cash on cash on cash.

Prime is special, so happy for the Brotha.

So this week we got these folks coming help with recruiting…

In all my 30 years of watching football I ain’t never known one trainer, but Becky is gonna cash in on that Coach Prime attention.
And the crazy thing is she don’t like the attention…

Like the only interview she did was with Life & Football…. Other side of that she really don’t speak with outside reporters. She even sky away from the cameras, when Bucky or Darius is recording.

FOX's Big Noon Kickoff calls audible, will return to Colorado in Week 3

FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff has been all in with Colorado coverage early in the 2023 season. That theme will continue into Week 3 with a late audible during the Buffs’ resounding Week 2 win over Nebraska.

During the game, FOX had announced on social media that the traveling Big Noon Kickoff pre-game show would hit the road for a Big Ten game between Penn State and Illinois. The broadcast was set to air from Champaign, but that changed in the fourth quarter.

Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt announced from the booth that the pre-game show will audible and return to Boulder for another on-site broadcast in Week 3.

“We want to make a big announcement,” said Johnson. “Big Noon Kickoff: Our studio show, not us, will be back here next week to follow Deion Sanders and this Colorado story. The biggest story in college football.”

“No, you’re wrong. It’s the biggest story in sports,” claimed Klatt.

“Ooo, I like it even better,” admitted Johnson.

The Week 3 broadcast will make 3 straight weeks that FOX has followed Coach Prime during his debut season for Colorado. Big Noon Kickoff was in Fort Worth in Week 1 as Colorado battled TCU before taking in the home opener for the Buffs in Week 2.

Colorado current recruiting class is ranking 75th. So far they only have 8 committed. This is surprising but there is still time to close strong.

They need interior linemen and probably need to take 5 to 8 of them in this class
In today's transfer portal environment I'm sure he is not that concerned because he can basically get better and more mature talent off the portal. Case in point is what he did this year. Don't hate the player.

Prime would not be able to sustain success depending on the portal. When you look at teams that win and compete for titles in college football, the common denominator is their Blue Chip Ratio. It is why certain teams consistently compete for titles and appear in major bowl games, while others struggle.

Teams that win consistently in College Football have a roster composed of 4 and 5 star players at a high percentage. It would be tough to have a good Blue Chip Ratio with just the portal. Those guys are usually impact players and not available in the portal.

I am not concerned with their 75th ranking in recruiting because most recruits want to see how the team looks. To me the Buffs have done enough to entice recruits to take them serious. The portal is more complementary piece than a program builder. The Buffs need Defensive tackles badly. The one selling point is instant playing time. They can pretty much guarantee any DT will play as a freshman.

One thing people are not talking about YET is Prime's connection to the NFL.....there are players who make it to the next level because everyone and their mama can look at them and tell they going to the next level; and then there are those whose coach's have connections to get them a serious look when they may have otherwise been overlooked....watch Prime's effect on those players.

4 and 5 stars hit the portal every year. My bet is when they do in the future, their first choice is going to be to play for Deion.

Auburn had the chance and passed.
some ppl not ready to go black

too many black trainers, black coaches, black assistants, etc etc

I'm really not mad at them tho, they use to it being a certain type of way

Every university not ready for Cam'ron, TO, Gillie, Wallo, Michael Irvin, Stephen A, Shannon Shape, etc running around

these ADs have big egos they don't want Prime getting all the credit so let them be

I know them wideouts and DB’s gonna look there as their 1st and 3rd(Bama & Georgia) stops

Especially if they can keep Sean Lewis and Coach Kelly

Put this way. There are 85 scholarship players in college football. You will never get 50 of those players be blue chip players from the portal

Georgia Blue Chip ratio was 80%. A Championship blue chip ratio is about 60% or higher

Prime closed with a good recruiting class this year. If he does it again they will be on their way to having enough 4 and 5 stars

The Georgia 80% ratio is my point. Some of those 80%are gonna have to wait in line, switch positions, get sent to the doghouse etc. In the old days they would rot in Athens. Now they hit the transfer portal with the quickness. They feel like Like the kid in the Dr. Pepper commercial "Rico's time is NOW."

One of the high Priority late portal entries was a DT from Georgia.
When he entered folks was like

:blush::blush::blush:

not many seasoned DT are available…

USC landed him, word was he wanted that bag… (I’m not 100% on this)

Same thing with Trey Sanders, the TCU back…. Soon as he enter the portal he tweeted to Deion but it didn’t happen…

Deion can’t do what he did again… he can’t have that much turnover on year 2
