I don't understand,why Netflix put someone in charge that hates the books. It makes no sense at all. If,you're adapting something can you at least put someone in charge that enjoys or understand the source material.
Hollywood has a habit of putting people in charge of that doesn't understand or hate the source material. And,wonder why people hate the TV show or movie.
While,I never read or play any of the games(even,though I have the third game still in its sealed package..just waiting for me to play it)I was looking forward to the series because I heard great things about the game. I thought this could have been Netflix's Game of Thrones but now it's turning into another fantasy shit show.
Fantasy as a genre have this thing that people hate because it has magic,magical races and etc. It doesn't get the same respect scifi does when it comes to TV.
Politics man. Politics has driven a number of folks insane and it has really infected Hollyweird. Combine that with the weird shit out of colleges. The safe space crowd with the gender fluid shit. The socialist shit. Etc. And here we are.
The money guys trust that these people know what to do. Someone can have past credits and then have gone politically batshit(see Kennedy and Feige). The people with credits who go batshit end up hiring even more nuts. And here we are.

It will end when the money guys say enough is a enough. They aren't going to keep holding these Ls. Fans know what they want. There is a reason why Cobra Kai got 90+ ratings and the streaming analytics to back it and all this other shit fails. Give fans what they want.
Fantasy is fantasy man. We got fantasy and lore from every continent, but the weirdos in hollyweird insist on pissing off fans of lore by shitting all over it. I don't know about you man, but I find it insulting these weirdos haven't touched any African lore but continue to want to virtue signal with black characters in other lore.
