Fantastic show tonight and I think "Forbidden Door" will be my favorite AEW ppv each year. Everything just goes to another level when New Japan talent is involved.

Not bad for a Saturday night show. I expected worse. Now we'll see if they can hold or grow that number.

That's a very strong rating for a Saturday night. People tuned in to hear what Punk had to say.
Of course the numbers will drop off next week and moving forward. The question is how much it will drop off.

I'm more curious to see if the numbers for Dynamite will be affected and if the AEW audience has been split between shows.

He can't be a 40 year old wrestler, but they was cool with having 53 year old Goldberg as the heavyweight champion and having him almost kill 55 year old Taker, 60 year old Mae Young taking table bumps off the stage, watching Shane blow his knee out on a leap frog in his 50s and 76 year old Vince giving the worst Stunner sell of all-time?

That's rich.

80 year old Mae Young

Bad comparisons.
Not a fan of Goldberg by any means and I don't agree with making LA Knight a manager, but Goldberg and Undertaker are stars and household names. They could keep wrestling at 100 and people will pay to see them.
Even Shane and Vince (non-wrestlers) are bigger household names than LA Knight.
LA Knight is doing a great job of getting himself over and I agree they should do more with him but comparing him to Goldberg and Undertaker is foolish.

When I see this in wrestling matches, it looks so silly because they never connect and the punches are sloppy and soft.

This was such a fun fight.

It's only foolish because you made it about other shit. I'm talking about AGE.

Them frontin' on LA Knight solely because he's 40 is asinine considering half the roster is pushing 40 (if not already 40-something) and age doesn't seem to be an issue when they wanna push nostalgia acts.

I just finished watching this week show of AEW Dynamite!!....It was a damn good show!!....This show got my hyped for this Sunday for Forbidden Door!!...The matches were good and it was damn good nice crowd out there!!...That Jarrett vs Briscoe match was good and I like that trios match as well...This week show did a good job for getting us ready for Forbidden Door!!...

I can't wait for Sunday to watch Forbidden Door!!....

I think the numbers and ratings won't drop for Dynamite!!..I believe that Dynamite would always be AEW #1 show they will have!!...I see that new show they got on Sat will dropped in numbers!!..I think it's hard to have a wrestling show on Sat nights now...It's not the same how it was back in the days when wrestling came on Saturdays!!..

Dynamite and Rampage will always the shows I watched!!..

I'm talking about AGE too.
The people you mentioned are all older than LA Knight, but are bigger draws than he ever will be so they get a pass.
Now if WWE were pushing an old person that had never drawn money, that would be a different story.

If the die-hard wrestling fans (albeit a small number) are watching Rampage on Friday nights, they will also tune in to Collision on Saturday nights.
Saturday nights can become must-watch nights for wrestling again, especially during the football and basketball offseason.
Collision and Dynamite/Rampage are almost 2 entirely different shows now and are presented differently so I think they will each attract a certain segment of fans, which is why I think Dynamite ratings may start to slip if people start only tuning in on Saturday nights.
