Depends who they hire?
I doubt they have this type of energy only because it happening now… the were in the dirt.
Once they get rolling, I don’t think there’s a reason to leave. I mean especially when they making the playoffs, the pay increase comes players get professional opportunities… coaches pay getting increased…

Colorado is not a big time program. The money they will generate from either the Pac 12 or Big 12 is nowhere near where a team in the SEC will generate. The SEC & Big Ten are about to shut out the other conferences from the big games (Playoffs). It's going the way of 2 super conferences.

With that said, if he decides to leave for another opportunity, do you think another coach can do what Deion is doing & bring a massive buzz to CU or would they return to pre-Prime?

Honestly, Colorado could probably be "aight" if they can get 8 wins regularly and at least be competitive and not get steam rolled when it's time to play Oregon and Utah. Just becoming competitive in the first year would be a good start.

They can't shut them out completely because the top 6 conference champions are automatically in the playoffs.

So they get gonna get at least one team in.

Do you CU fans think if Deion is successful & decides to leave for a higher profile job (SEC), will CU continue the momentum or will they regress?
Regress. 100% of the momentum is due to Deon. Everyone that transferred there, did so because of him. The old players left. It’s Deon or nothing.

It’s not like it’s some old CAC that they could replace with another one. The NFL pedigree, the personality, the connections, the fame, the popularity, I can’t think of anyone who could replicate him. He has become their identity.

This how you do it, ball out get your name hot

Breaking News Montana Lemonious-Craig Has Entered The Transfer Portal

Montana Lemonious-Craig helped himself a lot by doing well in the Spring game. I don’t fault him for leaving seeing that Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr seem to be the starters with more WRs coming in.

That's how it's working for now. But there's constant change with the CFP. The biggest dogs (SEC & Big Ten) can decide playing by the NCAA rules doesn't work for them anymore & create a super league shutting everyone not in it out. With the TV deals they have, they then can dictate what a championship game looks like.

I been worried if Deion & staff knew what was up with MLC

I kept thinking about this moment after watching Shedeur clip. I’m wondering if Coach telling him he’s proud of him and thats how you take advantage of a spring game.

If he did that JSU would be cracking up!

It’s business. Can’t be mad if the coach leaves for better opportunities, if the school fires the coach for better results, or if a player transfers for better opportunities. It’s all business. In Deon’s case, he leaves programs too vulnerable because he is such a niche coach. Programs would be wise to ensure he has a long term contract to ensure he doesn’t leave before they want him to.

In the case of jsu it hurt deeper because it wasn't just business. Deion represented more than just wins and losses and school pride. He represents what black excellence is. And he was a living breathing example of that walking amongst kids who not only look like him but look UP to him.

Him leaving CU is just business.

I feel that the social impact of Deon going to and leaving Jackson State has been overstated. Jackson State is an HBCU that plays other HBCUs. Even if they dominated other HBCUs for the next decade, that isn’t saying much from a social impact standpoint. If Deon had Jackson State dominating the top PWI football programs, it would be a much bigger statement. That said, that would be next to impossible for Deon to accomplish at JSU due to the money available. IMO he has a greater opportunity to make a big impact by going to Colorado where he can put Black Coaches in positions for success by doing well and by hiring.

Man I’m glad Shedeur put this out there. Them talking heads been going crazy with the Shedeur is mad/salty story.
These cats were together shopping at the time of this clip.
During spring break they was in Miami together training, with Jimmy Horn…I’m sure they knew what was up.

Colorado in there with the big boys

DAMMIT!!!! Shocking the numbers of fans going to these Spring games!!!

CU is even more impressive cause those other schools are probably coming off huge seasons the year before.

I think 17 players have jumped into the portal since the spring game…

I only recall two names Montana & a db name Tyrin Taylor

Ohio state 11-2
penn state 11-2
Nebraska 4-8
Bama 11-2
Tennessee 11-2
Oklahoma 6-7
Georgia 15-0
South Carolina 8-5
Clemson 11-3
Colorado 1-11
USC - 11-3
FSU - 10-3

Question: For anybody that paid attention the last 2 seasons at JSU what makes that person think Shilo Sanders will make any difference at all on this defense?

Probably the best for the program because the talent level is so weak. Better to make room for other talent

So you don’t think he’s better than what was there?
I’d like to think so, but I wasn’t tuned in 100% over the last two years
