This was a bad knockout, that doesn’t require an instant rematch. Recall, Whittaker did not get an instant rematch after Izzy knocked his out early. Costa got knocked out and humped and didn’t get a rematch. Izzy deserved this rematch because he won most of the fight until the very end, and he was lapping the division.
Alex is going to have to earn this rematch by beating someone else.
I still favor Alex in the 3rd fight.
