Never really sure how to feel about birthdays. I usually just smile, eat some cake, and wait for the day to be over.
This is particularly true now since I lost my brother, who loved b-days, over two years ago and at 36 (crazy), the novelty of celebrating them has long since disappeared.
Anyway, I'm just announcing it on BGOL since this is the greatest forum on the Internet bar none. My nearly two years here have been very special thanks to all you degenerate motherfuckers fam.

I lost my brother in 2020, so I feel you. We weren't close enough during his last years so I'm making it up being close to his family since he's passed
He was my neighbor since I was 10 months old, so he ain't blood, but I damned sure couldn't have made it to 46 without him. And the fact that I've surpassed him in age still kind of hurts
That's the same year mine died. We were blood but he was a lot older than me by 18 years. It was very unexpected but we were close so I don't feel like I missed time with him.
I can't even begin to imagine how I'll feel when I get to the age he was. I don't even want to go there in my head.
