I don't watch NFL ass I am team Kap but when I switched from a different media source to live TV this was on..

I watched and my thought are on this young man and his family. I am somewhat happy they at least postponed the game .At least this time they seem to value the man over the commodity

Last time I saw something like this was Darryl Stingley when I was much younger

CNN doctor saying something like he got hit over the heart, he used this term I can't pronounce but it can cause cardiac arrest.. Smh!

See the quote below, this brother spoke on it earlier in the thread.

Might be commotio cordis a rare event that stops the heart with a blow to the chest usually seen with line drives in baseball that is why they have AEDs on football fields

First of all, my heart goes out to this young man and his family. Hoping for the absolute best possible outcome and that he can walk away from this in due time. I’m grateful he has a pulse at this moment which is signs of life. So long as we have that, we have a chance.

To give this some sporting context, this happened to a footballer by the name of Christen Eriksen at the Euros in 2020. He collapsed on the pitch and medics were able to revive him after working on him with and AED and CPR (similar to this). Eriksen went into cardiac arrest without physical injury, while Hamlin’s injury seems to be from the contact.

They were able to bring him back, install a pacemaker and he’s continuing his career and I’m just praying the medics and surgeons can revive him in the same way. Never mind Hamlin’s playing career but we just need this young brotha here on earth with us.

Prayers up.
