****UFC 280***** MAIN CARD STARTS AT 2PM EASTERN TIME!!!!! *******

It's interesting that TJ straight up admitted that he held up the division by trying to fight with an injured shoulder.

The fight was over before it even started. It was a very selfish move. I wonder if the UFC knew about his shoulder.

Also, didn’t he have surgery on 1 or both shoulders during his suspension?

Followed by fucking up and needing surgery on his knee that he blew out in his win over Sandhagen around mid-2021?

Seems like the wear and tear is more noticeable now at 36 or 37yo for him.

Yeah... I just watched that Sandhagen fight where he blew out his knee.

I think it's over for him. TJ is competitive though, you never know w/ him.

Uncle Dana wasn't too happy in the post fight presser, I'm shocked that TJ would do something so stupid and selfish... :hmm: :roflmao3:

"Easy" money for Aljo, even though he trained like crazy for the fight. Can't wait for them to release the fight purses.

It's never what they really made though. The UFC will never tell the public what they actually give the fighters.

DC told a story where his purse was $500,00. He thought that was all he was going to get. He said Dana walked in the locker room and handed him a million dollar check.

Plus all the endorsements and possible appearance fees they make during fight week.

That was a good fight. Sandhagen is right up there with the top of the division. Just some tough losses when facing Aljo, Yan and TJ.

I wonder if that past wrestling wear and tear finally caught up with TJ? Even though he’s primarily a striker now the past 5 - 7 or more years. Especially since the big wins over Barao and Garbrandt x 2 each.

Still can’t believe Cejudo beat him in
30 seconds ... while TJ was cheating via EPO, lol! Wild.

:roflmao3: :hithead:

We understood that Islam was gonna take this. But did they say they comin for 145???? Bruh. They comin for EVERYTHING! And u know volk man is all about that shit. He’s a tough mofo too.
Volk and Islam is a great match. I actually got Volk in this fight at 155.

Yo….khazmat is a dick. I thought he was cool with Khabib crew. Arent they all daghestani? But it’s strange. I actually like it. He’s cocky because he’s crushing everyone. Unlike mcgregor, he has no real challengers. And his only weakness is he don’t move his head. Khazmat will smash everybody at WW. usman already requested his rematch. Which he should get. And I see him winning that because he’s going to come back and be a lay and pray fighter in the name of caution. This is a good thing because edwards will get wrecked. I can’t wait to see khaz vs usman by next year this time

He's definitely loved / hated within the sport (Khamzat).

That reminds me ... I need to rewatch that Khamzat - Gilbert Burns fight from the past year. What a great fight.

That Usman - Edwards rubber match is gonna be interesting. Usman wins the 1st one via decision. Nearly 7 years later he's winning the rematch until the final minute and Edwards lands one of the best headkick KOs we'll ever see in combat sports. Their 3rd fight ... tough to say what will happen. Usman will be wise to wrestle - grapple and avoid any potential disaster on the fight.

Exactly. Like I said, I bet u he comes back and sticks to his wrestling roots to ensure the win. He not bout to Risk another loss and while it’s ideal to come back from a knockout like that and return the favor I don’t see him doin that. He might get lucky but I don’t think he wants to risk potential back to back losses. He’s gonna pull a John fitch and wrestle fuck him to death.

Agreed. In the perfect world he'd land a great KO or TKO of his own. But Edwards is legit ... and durable. What a crazy world it would be if Edwards somehow landed back-to-back KO-KO or KO-TKO over one of the P4P best in the entire sport.

Also, regarding that Khamzat - Burns fight ... here it is if anyone wants to rewatch it. Or watch it for the 1st time.

Looks like plenty of people went back to watch it. UFC uploaded it last month - 9.4 million views!
