Literally the second tweet said it was for prior offenses, people who may have problems finding housing and employment. He never said anyone would be released. I don't recall anyone in this thread saying x number of people would be released. It sounds like a) a bunch of people heard/assumed one thing and realized it was another or b) people just looking to bitch about something the dems do.

This is going to affect the state level. We already have candidates committing to pardons and legalization. Most likely this will cause current governors to commit to the same thing, or try to use marijuana use to scare voters where hopefully they get voted out when their time comes.

You seem to be looking for a reason to be mad.

SMH. There is a story on MSNBC right now that literally stated that the Biden administration said there is no one currently in federal prison SOLELY for marijuana possession, yet I'm expected to believe they are hiding this fact.

yeah, after it was already reported that there wasn't and it was a day later. It was intentionally framed differently and now they are back pedaling. If you can't admit politics were at play with manipulation, you are completely lost.

It is major. Rescheduling it is major. The pardon is major. The affect on black people is major. You hung up on people not being released from jail and missing the whole point homie. Marijuana legalized at the state level is still a federal offense.

It's not as major as you think it is. Most of those convictions have state charges and other offenses as well. The resume will still show all of this. Only a small percentage of those thousands was weed only and only federal offense. Most of those records still look like shit. Getting the weed off still won't get you the job.

My best friend and a few others I know did time in the Fed and there were no state charges involved. Are you making this up as you go? You gonna hate no matter what. I'm done.

Ask someone who couldn't get certain jobs because of that shit if its not a weight off their shoulders...see what answer you get.
