Keep A Brother In Your Thoughts

Just got through reading the RIP or MIA thread and thought my 70 year old ass would update my status. There might be a couple of Brothers on the board that care.
On Sept. 16th I was told that I have intermediate stage Prostate cancer. I am scheduled to have my Prostate removed Oct. 26th. I am told it is a 2/12 to 3 hour operation. Hopefully, this will remove all of the cancer.
If things go left just wanted to make sure I let everyone know how much I have enjoyed this board. I have seen Brothers grow up on this board, gotten a wealth of information, and laughed so hard that my stomach hurt at the silliness.
Get those exams Brothers. Enjoy this ride we call life for as long as you can. Peace

We NOT even gone think about things going left......Get well and wish you the best!!

I'm going to pray for an excellent surgery that gets you squared away, and a speedy recovery that has you back here with us all!!!

Big Bro stay strong and positive. I wish you a speedy recovery and best of health.

I'm hoping you have the very best out come possible. Keeping a positive attitude is one key to beating it. One of my older brothers went through the exact same thing, has been in remission for ten years and is doing fine. His therapist gave him that advice and it helped him, as well as the people around him that were supporting his fight.

Good luck with the surgery. You'll pull through no problem.

I'm doing great. The hardest part for me is keeping the people around me (wife, Father, friends) from dwelling on it.
