Just got through reading the RIP or MIA thread and thought my 70 year old ass would update my status. There might be a couple of Brothers on the board that care.
On Sept. 16th I was told that I have intermediate stage Prostate cancer. I am scheduled to have my Prostate removed Oct. 26th. I am told it is a 2/12 to 3 hour operation. Hopefully, this will remove all of the cancer.
If things go left just wanted to make sure I let everyone know how much I have enjoyed this board. I have seen Brothers grow up on this board, gotten a wealth of information, and laughed so hard that my stomach hurt at the silliness.
Get those exams Brothers. Enjoy this ride we call life for as long as you can. Peace

Checkup... doctor did a prostate exam and said it seemed stiff to him. He did a biopsy and said18 out of 19 samples tested cancerous.

One of my older brothers went through the exact same thing, has been in remission for ten years and is doing fine. His therapist gave him that advice and it helped him, as well as the people around him that were supporting his fight.

Sorry for the questions, but my doctor told me she will add PSA tests to my blood work. Were you getting PSA test screenings prior?
