They say that now because we're so far away from the election and there are an infinite amount of candidates who people are talking about running.
But if he were to win the Republican nomination (which at this point I still see as very possible) and its down to two people who do you think those people are voting for if they've already rejected Biden?
I'm not saying this as fact but I would never assume he's out the game after what I've seen in recent years.

Basically this. I don;t care who the other candidate(s) was/were or how you felt about them. There were already way too many people that voted for this nutjob before to be comfortable about it. And it's not like his re-election bid fell that short, either. I get that he's more toxic, and there are plenty of people that are just tired of dealing with him, but since he took office, I don't put anything past anyone until it's in the books.

The accounting profession is not like it used to be. Now CPAs look for ways to bend the standards to the practices instead of adjusting the practices to the standards. His accounting firm bailed on him as soon as they started taking heat. They should be decertified for propagating the fraud as long as they did.
