My roommate smokes three packs a week. He got covid. So did Dave Chappelle and plenty of other smokers.
But let's suppose you're right and nicotine did have a prophylactic effect against covid infections. So I decide to go from blunts to cigarettes.
The average American smoker goes through 20 to 40 cigarettes a week. In California that's $10-$20 minimum. Because tobacco was addictive I'll be shelling out that money and then some long after covid is a distant memory.
Covid-19 kills people by inhibiting the flow of oxygen in the body. Cigarettes do the exact same thing plus cancer.

let me get this straight...smoking modern cigarettes is a direct cause for cancers and all kinds of serious medical issues and mentholated cigarettes makes it especially easier to become addicted to the habit because its not as harsh as nonmenthol. Sooo banning it would actually be beneficial to black people in a real way health-wise.....but thats not a good thing???

The United States wouldn't appreciate it if suddenly Mexico had weapons given to them by Russia. The United States basically surrounds Russia if I was Putin I would probably be pissed and at this point want to restart the Soviet Union as well. Trump was probably right to want to get out of NATO as this current crisis illustrates.

About 10 years ago United States and Russia were trying to establish Ukraine as a buffer state. Everything went well until Ukraine tried to sign a trade agreement with the European Union.
That led to the Russians annexing Crimea in 2014. The US started supplying the Ukraine with weapons in response to that invasion.
In other words, the United States did not insert itself into the situation. They were already involved from day one. Also United States arming Ukraine didn't lead to Russian imperialism, it was the other way around!
Outside of covid and the economy I agree that Joe Biden has been pretty useless for domestic policy. His response at the border has been especially bad.
However, and I'm going to keep repeating this, Trump tried to coordinate white supremacist militias into his own personal army!
Right now we have undercover white supremacists in our military and police forces. That's terrible, but it's nowhere near as bad as having a fully uniformed American SS patrolling our streets. Trump already tried it on January 6th. If he gets re-elected that's exactly what he's going to do!
Personally, I think Trump will be in jail by 2024. Or at the very least so thoroughly disgraced and discredited that he won't make the nomination.

I don't wanna go that far, I think Biden should be challenged...but whoever runs has the task of reinvigorating the party and support base. In my life time the only person I voted FOR was Obama not just because he was black but he was new blood. He did inspire something positive rather than I'm voting AGAINST. I'm tired of voting against someone I want to vote FOR someone. And NOT voting at the top of the ticket is just STUPID.
