{The Official 2021-22 NBA Thread} - Finals: Warriors vs Celtics…{4-2 advantage warriors } Dubs NBA champs, Curry MVP

The Supersonics will basically be reinstated...

The city made a deal to keep their history, colors and the Trophy with Seattle...

they will just readjust the stats similar to the Pelicans and Hornets...

The situation is similar to the Browns and NFL...
Yeah I know I remember when this was announced about the histories being separate.

Seattle and Vegas seem to be next up for expansion.

Just got back from Vegas. Saw the arena they are building. The tour guide said the rumor is they’ve been talking with the clippers about moving to vegas

The Clippers are almost finished with their arena ready to play in 2024...

The Kings were primed and ready for the move... Now they stuck in a 35 year lease ...

That’s what I thought. I found it strange that they mentioned the clippers

Exaggeration, KD also once had a foot injury
KD is an anomaly & one could argue he's been more injury prone since his achilles. Chet is a 7 footer weighing 190 :smh:. Durant was 225 as a rookie. If I'm a betting man Chet is gonna have injuries common with Porzingas.

besides Yao what modern player had his career ended from foot injuries?

You should be more worried about Zion, and his 300 lbs flying around

@dik cashmere

This is why I'm rooting for Durant.

Very harsh and KD hasn't been a failure. He did get to the finals with OKC. Sometimes teams don't win doesn't make it a failure. Now the part with Charles talking about KDs happiness; well I'll agree to that. Dude definitely seems like he's searching for something he shouldn't be on the court. But this nets situation is all on KD; he should have never married himself to Kyrie. Shit was dumb from the beginning and its still dumb now...

Dumb comment by Barkley, Durant has done more in his career while leading his own team than Barkley did and Barkley's in the HofF so if KD career was a failure his is even worse

harsh comments by charles. i think durants basketball legacy has already been written . and kd knows that. he wants to be on steph or lebron's level to lead a team.....that just ain't him. he tried that team leader shit and it backfired. he really should have went back to okc after golden state. oh well he gotta play the cards he got the next 4 years.

But he is on steph and LBJ level though. There are different ways to lead a team. Again he went to finals with OKC and almost did another time. OKC is more to blame because they didn't wanna pay no one and their medical staff almost cost KD and Russ careers. So while he fucked himself with the Nets situation; he still top 5 player in the league and that doesn't mean he's not on their level...

charles WISHES he had kd's career. It shows a lack of self awareness for him to say that kd is a failure for not leading a team to a chip when that very thing defines his career. And Im a barkley fan. What he is right about is that kd agitating to leave the nets shows a lack of heart. The Kd/kyrie/harden combo was never a question about talent it was a question of chemistry. And considering they barely ever play together before it finally blew up means theres no real answer to that question. But this upcoming kd/kyrie/ben combo again aint about talent its a question of HEART and all 3 of those dudes at various time have showed a LACK of it.

Stat wise kd is on steph and lebrons level but thats metrics...but when it comes to other qualities thats more about leadership and locker room and having the ability to galvanize a team and get everyone on the same page. Kd is NOT on their level at all. And That aspect affects his legacy in HOW ITS TOLD. This is where Barkleys busdriver/busrider analogy is so fitting and enduring...dude coined a phrase that will be used far into the future about other athletes across sports.

Legacy isn't just about stats and achievements its also about how the people around responded to your presence. And so far NO ONE ever talks about that when they talk about him. So his talent assures a place in the HOF and one of the GOATs status...BUT his attitude and how he carries himself in the PROFESSION is sorely lacking...same for kryrie, harden, simmons and few others. It aint ALL about talent.
