Yeah people need to know this...I surely got refunded for 1 payment I made in March of 2020.....
People been getting Fat checks too...I am talking about thousands because they hit the 120 count during the pandemic and their overall payments were well over that 120.....In some of these reddit groups, some people have gotten like 5-20K back...

If you made any payments between March 2020 and now, you can get that shit refunded.....You just have to reach out to fedloans or whoever has your loans and ask for your money back...

For the first time, I have to agree with the OP @dumone and his thread title. The BLUE hat MAGAs are losing their minds over this weak forgiveness gesture but I can’t fault them. They were promised a clean slate only to have income caps (which hurt professional, so-called black women the most) and are getting hit with historic inflation so it is damn near impossible to save.

It looks like you only get refunds if your loans were already direct. If you consolidated to direct to take advantage of the PSLF, you still qualify for the forgiveness but don't qualify for a refund for the payments you made after your 120th nor for payments made since March 2020. The only payments that qualify for a refund are ones that were made after you moved to direct.
Yep the Republicans fucked up the G.I. Bill years ago mainly because there was more minorities coming into the service than white people.
