The U.S.-listed shares of Hong Kong-based investment holding company AMTD IDEA Group AMTD, +236.54% skyrocketed 312.5% and subsidiary AMTD Digital Inc. HKD, +126.28%, a Hong-Kong-based digital solutions applications developer, rocketed 149.6% in very volatile afternoon trading Tuesday, enough to make them the two best performers listed on the New York Stock Exchange. AMTD IDEA shares have been halted once for volatility since the open, while AMTD Digital's stock has been halted 18 times. AMTD Digital's stock is now trading 23,649.5% above its $7.80 initial public offering price in just the 13 trading days since it went public. AMTD Digital's market capitalization has ballooned to $342.64 billion, making it more valuable than 489 of the S&P 500's SPX, -0.67% components. The company issued Tuesday a "Thank you note" to investors and a response to the "significant volatility" in the stock since the IPO. "To our knowledge, there are no material circumstances, events nor other matters relating to our company's business and operating activities since the IPO date," AMTD Digital said in a statement. The company said it was also "monitoring the market closely for any unusual trading activities or abnormalities."

Looks like everyone’s pockets are not getting light during the recession. Or is the recession non-existent? One of the economists or finance experts can chime in an explain to a novice such as myself.

Word on the street is that HKD/AMTD is being used to move money illegally. Hedge funds are using it to show they have enough liquidity from being margin called. The well is dry, and they are trying every tactic possible.
How does a stock that is a month old become one of the top 20 biggest current market caps stocks? Fuckery is afoot. What I find even more surprising is the lack of halts for this run-up. I watched it climb this morning in pre-hours, grinding my teeth with bitterness and jealousy.

The climb is one for the ages just based on the short time it took to happen and the short sell taking it to back to single digits will be epic. But for now… :money:

Can someone explain to me like a 5 yr old how shorts make stocks go down?

I have researched but it's just not clicking.....thanks!

True, but the fact that is stock is 147% institutionally owned means that they are waiting for retail to jump in and make them bag holders.
To my early traders, get money playas!

So its too late bro?
How come I aint see no one talking about this?

DON'T TOUCH IT! the 147% institutional ownership is all you need to know.
Bruh, the entirety of twitter and r/superstonks are discussing this shame of a stock. They are trying to associate with r/wallstreetbets but that is the lure for dumb money to pile into it.

I was getting ready to release my manifesto on the stock market, critiquing it and the thread disappeared...

I must have gotten somebody nervous, than I started noticing attacks against me just ramped up. I was praising how the Chinese deal with these people in their culture which I believe is to send a broader message. These people are a black plague to me with their constant harassment and scheming that disrupt my activity.
